Great build, high quality details

I loved building this set and seeing all the details come together to form this spectacular rendition of the VW T2. Every step was a joy to work on, and the end product is simply incredible!

More fun than anticipated

This was a shared build with my 20 y.o. Daughter, home for the summer from college. Highly enjoyable. Not challenging with the meticulous drawings and organization of the bricks. Time well spent with each other and I can’t help playing with the doors and the kitchen. Great fun!

Disappointing Build

I have built dozens of LEGO sets and have never been disappointed until now. The set started out fantastic for the first 5 or 6 bags, but I could write several pages regarding the problems from that point on. However, in doing so I would just be repeating the problems that other reviewers wrote about. I didn't think I would ever have to say this for a LEGO product but the only solution for this build is GLUE. I tried a couple of the "sticky glue" suggestions by some of the MOC people but those don't even work for some assemblies
What puzzles me is the wide range of reviews from first time builders who had no problems to Advanced/Expert builders who met with many of the same frustrations I did. I am by no means an expert on brick molding, but the only answer I can come up with is that there are different tolerances on the molding machines that make some bricks fit more tightly together than others
As others have stated, I'm not sure how this one got by quality control. I agree with the sentiment that this should be taken off the market, it only sullies LEGO's otherwise stellar reputation

We don't recommend using glue on LEGO® bricks, as the chemicals may distort the shape of the brick. Please get in touch with us at LEGO.build/Service-BV and we'd be happy to troubleshoot together.

Better than expected

Negative reviews made me hesitant to purchase this set. I own most of the creator vehicles, so it only seemed right to add this to the collection. My main concern was regarding the gap along the top cover. Mine looks great without any significant bowing like others have complained about. I would suggest building on a nice flat surface and slightly manipulate any bend that occurs as you build. Overall, I’m very glad that I decided to get this set. No regrets or disappointment here!

Worse Lego Kit I’ve Ever Built

I’m a pretty fair builder, but this kit kicked me good. Sections, including the tailgate and roof closing mechanisms, would detach from other parts constantly. Not particularly well designed for pieces to interlock. Ended up using Superglue to hold together
If value is judged by how long it takes to build, this kit is great value.
So if you like a great challenge go for it. If your purpose for Legos is relaxation and enjoyment, get a different kit.

Cool design

I liked the look of this model; it has some cool features, and I grew up loving Volkswagen vehicles. But during and even after the build, some pieces do not stay on properly, if you just handle it slightly, a few pieces outside and inside fall off because there isn't a lot holding them in place. Would have been a 5 star review if not for the inability to handle the item at all without something falling off.

Impossible to keep together

I could never get it fully built every time I moved on another piece would break off and while fixing that part another part broke. And I just continued and continued. I felt like I was loosing my mind I wanted to chuck it out a window. It is so cute and I was really looking forward to finally having some legos my style around my boyfriends star wars Legos. My bf is gonna try to fix it now to see but I almost don’t even want it anymore.
