A Great Display Piece

This was my second build since getting into Lego. Picked up as a stress reliever and project to help me detach from the day. The set exceeded all of my expectations!
Hedwig is obviously the star of the show, but the potions, chocolate frog, golden snitch and hogwarts letter all look fantastic on display. My one complaint would be the security of the wand tip piece isn't the best, but the rest of the set is secure and sturdy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful piece for any Harry Potter fan!

I am a die hard Harry Potter fan so I bought this for myself. It is absolutely stunning when it is completed and is worth the price since it has over 3 things to build! I am disabled with a movement disorder so my hands shake so putting some pieces together where really challenging and I had to redo something over and over again. Despite it being a struggle to build, it is a lot of fun

Challenging yet wonderful add to the collection

So, this was a challenge to me from a build perspective. There were a number of places where I struggled with the instructions and being able to tell what piece actually went where - that led to a number of re-dos which are never fun. The end display is really pretty, but the letter was a huge challenge to snap into place. Every time I tried a piece broke off and I am not sure what I have ended up with is correct as there is a gap between the 2nd and bottom piece of the letter which doesn't look great. The wand is a little boxy for me, and the reviews comparing the scarf to a McD's french fry box - spot on - and I have to imagine that simply using gold and maroon pieces instead of the bright red and yellow would have solved that (I have felt that about a bunch of the HP sets when it comes to the Gryffindor colors). I will also note that I am not sure Hedwig's wings are on exactly correct but in the end I am not sure it matters either. I am also not sure why lego didn't use a clear piece to attach the snitch and I am surprised that the glasses don't attach somewhere (although I like where I managed to sit them).
But - despite that - I love the books, the Felix bottle and Hedwig is just beautiful. The frog is cute and the display for the golden figurines is a must if you are like me - and like to display the sets without much "DIY"/"MOC" worked in. I like the sets the way lego intends. Although I also had some issues with that little display and connecting them.
Despite any criticism however, I love the set and think it is a must for any HP Lego collector!

Great model, with amazing and magical details, I like that the glasses are wearable and that the wand is "useable", a few details i feel were left out were, a light brick in the wand as well as the title of the books wouldve added extra character, also, an alternate first plate for the letter shouldve been included and said Harry potter! also an included horcrux wouldve been sweet, nethertheless this set passes all of my tests, and is worthy of being my best and most expensive set, even though Harry Potter isnt even my favorite theme (marvel and dc) this set feels authentic in it display and presentation! Thanks you, Thank You Nick Vas and LEGO and i hope you come out with more large scale sets like this! (like a marvel one or dc- a captn america sheild and iron man gauntlet and tony stark glasses, star lord helmet, iron man arc reactor, eye of agamoto and more) or for DC like a batwing, kryptonite, joker squirty patch flower, trident for aquaman, helmet of naboo, Lasso for Wonder woman, All the power rings, batman utilty belt and more! Thank you!

Enchanting Experience!

I'm an adult who had never touched a Lego prior to December 2021, when I built Home Alone. Following that great and fun experience, I moved on to Hogwarts Icons, a build I found to be even more fun! From start to finish, the experience was amazing. The finished product makes a stunning (and elegant) display piece. Highly recommended!
