This is one of the worst sets I've ever purchased. The instructions are not easy to follow, which makes the build more difficult than it should be. I've purchased sets with more pieces and had fun this set was a headache and the owl didn't sit properly like it should have entirely to top heavy and the crystal bottles should be shown more otherwise front. For the amount of detail that is in this set it just didn't balance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this set. It was fun and easy to build. Not confusing instructions easy to understand. Loved all the colors and the finished product is amazing. I love all the little details like the potion bottles and Harrys glasses. This is the set my eyes land on first every time I walk in my Lego room.

This set was bigger than I thought it would be but that just made it more worth the build! Hedwig was so much fun to build and see when she was done! All the little details are just amazing and they just make me want to keep buying sets to get them next to each other! Can't wait for the next one
