Frustrating

I found this to be a very frustrating build. While the end build is stable, there were a few times putting this together that it collapsed and I had to go back a few steps and rebuild. There were also a few times where the instructions were unclear and I had to find help through outside sources like blogs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for your review! In the future, if you're ever need of additional help while building or if you find that pieces of your build that aren't sturdy, reach out at LEGO.build/Service-BV and we'd be happy to assist you.
This is one of my favorite things Harry Potter related that I own. I have no idea how anyone can claim this is an unstable build or that any step is missing. Unless they have improved something drastically or people are holding it wrong, this is an extremely stable build. I absolutely love how it looks and how simple the directions were. Although the build is recommended for 18+, it is so easy to understand. I can’t say enough good things about this set. I am not sure I will ever find one I like more and I bought the castle. I even had someone come to the house and they took a picture. It’s that impressive…
I really enjoyed this build. My only complaint is minor, and that is some a lot of it was very repetitive. Especially Hedwig. But it’s lego, and l knew that it was going to be repetitive before I bought it. But it looks super amazing when complete. I was missing a piece and Lego shipped the missing piece for free right away. I received the piece 2 days after requesting it.
Great collectors item to build, however, a little disappointed with Lego designers as instructions for attaching Hedwig’s head and body is missing, a step missed out, also as other people have said a few steps missing in the instructions for making the chocolate frog.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for your review, your feedback is very valuable to us. To connect Hedwig's head and body, please check pages 279 and 280 (steps 461 & 462) in the building instructions.
If your building instructions are missing the steps for the chocolate frog, you can download and view an online PDF copy at LEGO.build/BI-BV or get in touch with our team at LEGO.build/Service-BV for a replacement. You'll find the steps towards the end starting on page 368.
I received this set as a Christmas gift, and let me tell you, it is PHENOMENAL. Hedwig looks amazing and the owl build was surprisingly non-repetitive for me. It looks great next to my Hogwarts castle. I love how you can personalize it by changing the scarf and signing your name on the letter. I do have an idea to add another Harry potter set though, and it's to add a build-your-own-wand set! Thanks to Lego for another great experience
The set is overall very nice looking and large. However, when you get down to the last couple of bags it seems like they stopped paying attention. There are steps missing and extra objects that are not explained at all. I also don't like that all the loose objects don't have a place on the main base.
I would recommend this to a friend!
