What an absolute delight to build. So many fun Easter eggs for the HP fan and so many great techniques. The pages for the books are just brilliant. This is something that I want out on my counter all the time. It’s pricey but one of those pricey ones that’s worth it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Really fun build, excellent display piece…

They broke this build out into it’s constituent parts, so every few bags you were completing something. When all put together the set is impressive, arranged on a shelf with any other Harry Potter memorabilia you may have, it’s a great addition to your collection.

Out of all the Ultimate collector series and large sets I’ve built, this by far has been one of the most enjoyable and creative builds I’ve done. There is a couple unique and clever assembly techniques in this set that I’ve never done before. Lots of mobility with the wings and head. Some reviews commented on stability but I had no problem. This is an advanced set , I wouldn’t consider it at the expert level although it’s close and would be a good one to assemble before getting an expert level kit.

I really like the construction of Tom Riddle's diary pages, it's a clever design!
I did get a little tired of building Hedwigs wings towards the end but it is a big piece.
I appreciate that the display for the gold figures comes with the extra pieces to build a longer display for all the gold minifigs from other sets.

Amazing Set

I received this set as a gift and was overjoyed at the sight of it. While it did not get built for a while (mainly because I thought I wouldn't be able to), the experience was pleasant and the final result incredible. The only thing is if you're a kid looking for a fun set to play with this is not the set for you, as it is strictly for display (which is why I rated the play experience so low, not because there is anything wrong with the set).
I would recommend this to a friend!

I loved this build. With each bag I was amazed every piece was there except one simple piece I could get from my random lego bin. The instructions were clear and simple. The build was strong and stable. I'm a newbie to legos and I purchased this one because I love owls. It is so beautiful and impressive. When I tell my friends I built a lego owl they kind of chuckle and then I show them the picture and they are blown away with how impressive it looks. This was a fun build. I'll never go back to puzzles. Legos are way too much fun to build and look at.

One of the best sets I have ever put together

One of the best sets I have ever put together. I enjoyed putting this together. I can’t tell you how much fun I had. I worked on this nine hours straight. I didn’t want stop. This set was very well detailed from Hidwig to the books.
