Great experience but……

The design and building experiences is great. This is a 5 star set regarding all the thought process that went into the creation of the Gunship. As many reviews state, lego completely ignored what fans wanted for the minifigures. They asked what we wanted and they ignored it. As fans, we understand that it is a display set. However, the way that the company treated the SW fans about the complaints of the minifigures is abysmal. It’s seems like lego thinks that their customers are ignorant ( it is a set that is marketed for 18+). The way they handled this is terrible. What happened to “only the best is good enough”????????

So close!

So, I want to start off by saying that this Gunship is gorgeous!! It is massive and the details are perfect! HOWEVER, you all literally asked us what Minifigures we wanted. We told you Jedi Bob and Phas II Cody. Why did you ask us what we want when you’re just gonna ignore it?? Completely ridiculous. And we’re not stupid either-we know the difference between a yellow clone and a clone pilot. This is an expensive collectors set-were hardcore fans who know the difference there! We’re not dumb like you all think. Fantastic looking set-too bad the Minifigures are boring and the design team had to be passive aggressive with the set.

Amazing Build with an asterisk

First of all, this build is incredible and I absolutely enjoyed building it from start to finish. I love the design and just how amazing it turned out, I think designing it would have been difficult and the designers hit it out of the park. I definitely recommend the set, and if you’re ok with the minifigs you can stop reading and buy the set. But like many other avid Lego SW fans I agree that it’s a joke they included bland minifigs especially after asking what we wanted, and then continuing to be passive aggressive which is just a sad look. The excuse of putting the minfigs we wanted behind an expensive set is also laughable since it happens all the time, and can easily be fixed by adding P2 Cody to any other appropriately priced set… rant over. TLDR version is this: Amazing Build, don’t ask if you don’t plan to listen.

Excellent Set

This set is well worth the money and the details are incredible. It is an amazing display piece and looks amazing. It perfectly fits the design from AotC. And unless you consider two minifigures a make or break part of the set, I would get this.

Fantastic Set!

I absolutely loved this build. The technic/lego build ratio was perfect and nothing was too repetitive. I like others enjoyed the printed bubbles, I personally have had no issues keeping them together, they snapped together fine for me. My only complaint would be the weak sliding doors, have had those fall off a few times cuz I like that feature. Can easily be reinforced though. Was missing 1 piece overall and given an extra by mistake, also those big white plate pieces, I think they need to be packed separately in future. Mine kinda had burgundy scratches on them, but honestly it blends in, gunships ain’t supposed to look like they rolled off the factory line in Geonosis

One of the coolest sets I’ve bought in years

This set is absolutely awesome! It’s easily one of the most iconic ships in the star wars franchise. Anyone who wants an exciting build and an awesome addition to any star wars lego collection should definitely get this. It is disappointing that you don’t get better mini figures, or more for that matter. Even though it’s not to mini-figure scale it would still be nice to have a couple more clones and maybe another Jedi. But overall an awesome build.

Love it but has problems

As soon as I saw the box I knew that it was huge. Very detailed on the hull of the ship bags 4,5 and 7 when you add the armor on the ship. The wings are HUGE and the and so are the doors. I wish the minifigure count was higher because the gunship is supposed to carry a lot of soldiers. But when I got finished I carried the gunship to another spot in my house, and the back door broke. Very fragile. So as I was rebuilding the back door I noticed that the armour that you put on in bag 7 was not fully pushed in. So I took the cockpit off ( bag 8) and the armour off to see what the problem was. I tried to put the armour back on but I could not and now I have to restart completely. Not cool Lego. You will see what I mean in the pictures. I already took some big stuff off.

Great Set, not going to comment on minifigs

The set is great, I enjoyed the build and it looks excellent on display. Sure the minifigs are a disappointment but I don't think the set deserves a bad review on account of that. You knew the figures would be a disappointment going in, so I think the review should reflect the set itself, which, in my opinion, deserves 5 stars.
