Minifigs hold back from Perfection

I am writing to join in the chorus of people extremely frustrated by the minifig situation. Hopefully by doing so, LEGO will take their most loyal customers seriously. LEGO has repeatedly lauded the fact that this was a customer-driven addition to the UCS line. We were polled on the figure selection, and both of our top pics, Jedi Bob and P2 Cody were ignored. LEGO gave the excuse of not wanting to put expensive paywalls up against desirable figures, but in the same week LEGO announced the Harry Potter Collector's Set with not one but 3 exclusive golden minifigs unavailable anywhere else. We love LEGO, but the hypocrisy has to end. If you are going to celebrate fans with a set, do it properly.

Amazing model, SAD Minifigures

Favorite Prequel Ship. LOVE this design. Hate that we didn't get any of the Minifigures that we asked to see in the set and when we got a response about this issue, LEGO just thought we wouldn't know the difference between a Clone Commander and Clone Pilot when we actually do know the difference.

Amazing set, with few minor issues

This set is amazing! When the set was announced, I immediately decided to get it. It’s nearly perfect, although it has some mild flaws. The first one, is the use of stickers on some elements, I believe specifically the emblem of the Republic should be a print. The second issue is that it’s awkward to lift the ship off the display stand, but it’s manageable. Lastly, I believe there should have been the secondary doors added to the set as a side build, but optional, like TFA modifications in the UCS Millennium Falcon. I wish I could have given the doors when I finished it but that lets me design my own build. I know some people don’t like the mini figures, but I don’t mind, they’re neat. Overall I rate the set 4.5/5

Beautiful set lackluster mini figs

This set is absolutely beautiful and I love the ship and set. There is nothing wrong with the building experience or the set itself but the only thing I would change and the reason why I have to knock it down a rating is solely because of the mini figures. Although they are not bad in their own respect they just don’t sit well with me. Or the choice they had for this set. The whole mini fig problem just feels lazy to me. It also would’ve been nice to include additional pieces to close off the door completely. Other than that the actual set is a 10/10 I just would’ve preferred different figs

Great ship model, but very poor build experience

I really wanted to give this set a better rating since I have such fond memories of the first playscale gunship lego made. It was so excited to put this one together, but the building experience was absolutely ruined by the sticker sheet. I can't stand circular stickers, and clear backed stickers are quite frustrating too. Personally, I believe that every UCS set should not come with a single sticker, only printed pieces. Hopefully in the future that may be the norm. As frustrating as the building process was, I must admit the final model is quite impressive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One of my favorite UCS sets

This set was a fun build and is remarkably sturdy for its size and shape. As a display piece this set is perfect. It catches the eye and the position on the stand couldn't be better.
Then there's the minifig controversy. Personally, the figures didn't factor into my purchase decision or my overall thoughts on the set. I do understand the backlash though, considering Lego asked what the fans wanted for them.
