For display, not for play.

I’m so pleased that I finally got and built this set. Absolutely stunning to look at it. This whole build kept me engaged throughout the process.
However, I you’re looking for a play set, this is not it. I would encourage the buyer this gunship to have it for display. It’s gorgeous to look at and the detailing is fantastic. I’m so pleased to have purchased this set and to have built it as well.

Incredible Set

This was my first UCS purchase and I was blown away by the size, movie accuracy, and quality of the build. Took about 10 hours to put together, and it never became boring due to interesting build techniques and variability of each section. People who complain about pieces not being secure didn’t build correctly — the ship is sturdy and can be picked up from various angles. Mini figure selection is irrelevant for a UCS set in my opinion, so just the clone and Windu is fine. If you’re a Prequels fan this is an absolute must buy!

Amazing display

This is my second UCS set and I am blown away. The set exclusive mace windu is awesome and set is bigger than expected (witch is awesome.) I am 11 and this is one of the greatest display pieces in my LEGO collection. Great job LEGO :D

Great Set! Confused on Markings

Awesome set! Thrilled we finally have some more Episode 1-3 sets! Hoping for a UCS AT-TE at some point with Captain Rex and maybe Cody. Only confusion is that the markings are Empire and the set is Republic gunship. Other than that, great improvements from the 2008 version and love the size.

Fun, solid build.

This was a good build from start to finish. There are some sets that you start building and you're like "when is this going to look like what it's supposed to?"
Not the case with this bad boy. From about bag 2 on, I was able to see exactly where the pieces fit in to the final product. It was very exciting to watch it come together.
In addition, it is solidly built. I saw some reviews saying it was fragile, but I have had no issues with it falling apart. The wings took some finagling to get them to stay in place since you're basically aligning holes blindly and sticking a rod through them (no innuendo intended), but once I got them on I don't see any way that they fall off.
All in all, one of the best builds I've done of the many sets I've built over the last year.

Great set with a few flaws

First off, brilliant set. Looks fabulous displayed with a lot of nice detail. Really fun build and the weight of it is very impressive. I like how the wings are attached too, and the stand has a very clever design.
Now for the downsides. The figures first; mace windu is a fantastic inclusion but the clone commander, the “only thing fans remember from the movie is a yellow clone trooper piloting the vehicle” is just really poor quality. It should’ve been a pilot and at the very least an accurate torso?? Please LEGO it’s not hard. The media coverage around this LEGO set is horrific, your designers have no idea what they are talking about nor do they care. Please in the future try and get designers that actually know at the very least what movie the ship comes from
