It’s great except for one part

It’s a really overall great set except for one part in bag 10 where you have to connect two hinges to the top of the set and two parts to the bottom of the set and they barely work at all and if you do get it to connect it’s very fragile and comes undone easily which causes a lot of frustration.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very good display piece

I have been an avid enjoyer of LEGO for years now, and a huge Clone Wars fan for even longer, and when I finally got an opportunity to pick up this set I did, and I do not regret it. The build took around 14 hours, and it is far larger than I imagined. The attention to detail and the overall look of the ship are captured extremely well, and when you add in some Minifigures, it looks very, very close to the ship in the series and the movie. Would highly reccomend.

Bad press great set

There was a lot of complaints about this set but I think they are invalid, because the set is amazing. It is a perfect representation of a great clone wars era vehicle. And it come with good figures, could have included a new pilot but the set is the point and for that reason this is an easy 5 stars.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Two real problems

First the display stand has the info on the armament wrong. It should say "4 composite beam laser turrets" not "2"
Second the stickers the the missile launchers are being applied to an curved piece and they are very long. It's a nightmare to apply them.

Other than that the ship itself is fine.

Great set, but……

I want to love this build however it’s weak and flimsy for its size, and leaves little for imagination.
Weak and flimsy because pieces would fall off and apart as you build. Several times I had to remove the top center where the pilots sit to fix pieces that came undone. Also the bottom would become weak as I would prepare to wallMount it. The back side was also another weak area where it came undone. Lastly the back top would also come undone as doing the wings. Maybe it’s due to my gorilla huge hands when this requires small nimble ones.
Not much for imagination is due to the inability to set up a “scene” if you will as a display because the gunner bubbles on the wings lack seats the way the ones on the side doors have them. Also only two mini figs (compared to the daily bugle which comes with practically every character of Spider-Man universe ever created). Just could have been so much more I think.
Overall it’s a great build in terms of view and spectacle. However it feels so fragile and weak that the wrong thing could just make this crumble.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great build - not perfect

Overall this was a ton of fun to build with lots of creative flourishes throughout to make it feel very authentic. It is very big and imposing.
I only give four stars for two reasons. First, the build under the wing isn't very stable and due to the build order you have to disconnect the wing to fix. Second, for this price point they really should give you more than two figures considering the ship has six potential positions plus room for transport.
