Extremely fragile

I was very excited about this build and thought it would live up to my other experiences with UCS sets. I have been highly disappointed with this build. It is extremely fragile. I know lego responded to a comment that the builder likely did something wrong, it couldn’t possibly be their set but I’ve checked things multiple times and it’s just fragile in multiple areas. I’ll have to store it where there will be no chance of it being breathed on or catching a gentle breeze because it will probably fall apart.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor experience

I think that the set itself is actually half-decent. Unfortunately, the Minifigure selection is incredibly poor as you will see in other reviews. Completely disrespectful to the consumer and any actual star wars fans to have simply a "yellow clone trooper" and not the minifigured we might have actually wanted with this set. Additionally, having the empirial logo right above "Republic" adds to the overall satire of this set. It is such a shame that such a highly requested set with so much hype around it has two huge missteps at release that could've easily been avoided. Additionally, my box is pretty damaged at all four corners and on one of the handles the cardboard covering is peeling slightly. A shame for anyone looking to preserve their boxes in good condition.

Awesome set

Ignore the reviews complaining about the minifigures. Who would buy this for the figures? An ignoramus, that's who. This thing is awesome. Unbelievably massive and a lot of fun to build. The only reason this isn't averaging 5 stars is because of all the stunted reviews by the cry babies about the minifigures. If these mommas boys and girls could get over themselves they might be able to take a minute to actually appreciate what an awesome job Lego did with this. Can't wait for the next UCS set!

Many missing pieces

I’ve been waiting for this set for a long time and was very excited to build it, but two steps in a row have had missing pieces and I’m waiting a minimum of two weeks just to get building this thing, not pleased

needs some better instructions. trying to add some side walls after wings and they won't attach or things fall off.

More gripes than likes

It's very large which is great but I would have preferred minifigure scale to big. My biggest gripe is that it's not to scale with itself. The cockpit area seems like it is minifigure perfect but the cargo area is too high and too long. Perhaps it isn't feasible. I would think that with access to LEGOs computer programs and literally every piece plus the privilege to create pieces it is. Also this is your full time job. The side doors are terrible. They're droopy, don't close flush, and lack detail. No cool fun stickers or prints. Red printing on cockpits covers too much of the glass. The back hatch doesn't close securely. The wings seem too long and the bubbles are a little big. The turrets or engines on top are square in the front when they should be conic. I know LEGO has conic pieces. NOW TO THE MINIFIGURES. I don't care about Jedi Bob or Windu but a Gunship should have a crew; a pilot, a gunner, and clone troops. There are no cool features that we haven't seen on the play sets. This set is somewhat impressive but lacks accuracy and fun.

The Most Disappointing Build Ever

I was so excited for this build and contemplated buying it for months. I finally purchased the gunship and it ended up being so unstable. The gunship will fall apart everytime you try and move it. The back pieces always fall apart because they are reinforced or don't have enough surface area coverage. Also the cockpit is under so much pressure because of how this build sits in its standard. Parts will break under this pressure over time. I attempted to mount this build as well and as yoi can imagine it feel apart and is too unstable to mount. I would NOT recommend anyone buy this set. Lego do better!!
