I have trees with different textures. It works great with straight branches, although it usually jams while chipping the last 6-10 inches. Then it's annoying having to open, unclog, and closing the security lid. That's the only drawback. The resulting mulch is great and the equipment is easy to assemble, operate, clean and very lightweight. It's only a bit noisy, which is understandable for its purpose. The feeding opening is not so big, so it's difficult to push leaves through it, although not impossible. For the price, it's a pretty good, well made product.
Pros: Even Consistency in Mulch, Blades Stay Sharp, Compact Design, Easy Clean-up
I got this shredder in the hopes it would help me dispose of the trimmings from my 100 ft long Knockout Rose hedge. In past years the trimmings filled a dozen large garbage bags and required cutting the large branches into smaller pieces to fit into the bags. To my delight the shredder not only reduced my refuse, it made mulch out of the trimmings that I used around the rose bushes! Number of trash bags? ZERO! As a bonus the shredder is also great for disposing of fallen limbs and I’m sure it will make short work of other trimming jobs around out property that used to require bagging and transport to the dump. As a side note I found that a 2 1/2 gallon bucket fits perfectly under the discharge, making it easy to catch dispose of the mulch and providing zero cleanup!

I did NOT know that there was a wood chipper this small. The long & short of it is this; We bought a house in 2015. As a house warming present a relative came over & cut down several trees for us. We did not have ANY yard equipment. The problem is they cut them & left them on the property... Fast forward to 2019. The trees are still on the property. They are an eyesore, we are worried that some animal might make a home in it. We don't have a vehicle large enough to haul them away, we can't get schedules to jive to borrow one, renting equipment &/or a truck is costly. We were not encouraged. Then I stumbled onto a video of this chipper. I showed it to my wife. Our card got whiplash from how fast we used it to order our own. As the pictures show. This Chipper is AWESOME! That took less than a month only working about 8 hours a week. I got more progress in that time than all the years of putting out the allowed amount on the curb. WARNING: heed the AMP/ cord size advice in the box. I unknowingly killed mine by using the wrong sized/AMP power cord. I had to buy a second SunJoe.
I bought this chipper to help slowly clear my property of palo verde that is taking over. It works great to chip palo verde, especially when fresh cut. This inexpensive chipper easily works through this type of shrub up to 1" in diameter. It struggles a bit on larger diameter or harder woods such as citrus, but is perfect for my needs. I've got a couple of hours of run time in at this point and the blades are still in good condition. I hope to get a lot more use from it, but at this price it has already saved that amount in weekend time I've gotten back compared to trimming manually to fit in the yard bin.

First I have to say that that I was very skeptical about the performance and durability of this product, but after using I was pleasantly surprised. I had about 3 truck loads of various limbs that ranged up to 2" in diameter and some up to 16' in length and this bad boy took care of the pile with ease. I tried to cut all the butt ends down to the 1.5" diameter and most everything chipped right up and there were a few jamb ups in the process but really attribute that to user error. Great product, I highly recommend for the price.
Pros: Great Value, Easy To Use, Accurate Performance, Easy to store, Lightweight, Durable, Great Design, Easy to assemble
I would recommend this to a friend!

Owned other small yard chippers in the past. Used this one for several years now and it's the best ever! I love this rugged little machine. It will munch up anything you can get into the chute. I cut a couple notches in a 5 gal bucket so it slips under the discharge chute: it works great and makes yard cleanup easy, fast and fun.
Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Powerful, Easy To Use, Rugged
I would recommend this to a friend!
