Great for small branches and blackberry bushes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product is super easy to use and lightweight .. the downfall is that the blades seem to get very dull quickly and can bog down with leaves. Always use a good extension cord! Looking forward to purchasing the mulcher/shredder sometime and give it a try on leaves!

I've used this product for a few years; it's a part of my gardening cleanup to mulch process. I use it mainly for cuttings between the smallest to 7/8 inch diameter. It will handle bigger if you feed it slowly, sometimes I do, but mostly on the large size cuttings I turn them into wood for burning starter logs.
Basically for me, it is a mulch making machine and I like it being electric -not wanting to deal with gas engines for that function. I also found it very safe to use; Further, I did try a few competitors but I found this item to be the best engineered design.

I've used this chipper twice now, with no problems. Follow the manufacturers guidelines and you should have no problems. Don't expect it to chip your tree into mulch, you'll be disappointed. It's good for those small branches that are too big to be ground up by the lawn mower. Read the other reviews, I thought they were spot on, so I knew what my expectations were when I purchased this. The max size it'll chip is in that 1.25 inch range.... understand that and that it's good for small diameter branches, and you won't be disappointed.... anything larger, go gas.

I have several trees in my yard, therefore also a steady supply of small sticks/twigs. This chipper has handled everything I've put in it. It's easy to use and has not clogged like the other one (another brand) I had before. Because it's a reliable machine, the company can afford to offer a 2 year warrantee. It's lightweight enough for me to carry down my back steps with 1 hand, but tough enough to chip up privet branches with ease. I plan to use the chips for mulch. When it stopped chipping well, I turned the blade around - a simple procedure - and returned to chipping in just a few minutes. I have spare blades, but I don't think I will need to change them any time soon.
