Great little chipper

I bought this late last year and i've stared at the box in my entry foyer all winter. Finally I unboxed it and used it in my yard today. What a great product. i gathered all the fallen branches from the winter and chipped them in an area i usually buy mulch for..... I chipped then spread the result and no need to buy mulch. Great!. It did get stuck a few times and i think the branches were still within 1.5 inches but it's easy enough to clear by opening the hopper. Glad i purchased it.

We have had this product for probably about 3 years and we have really put it through it's paces and it keeps on delivering. I cannot describe how well it has worked. We have 33 pine trees in the back yard and have been feeding this machine for years. I don't think it will ever fail now.
Worth every penny.

I used this all weekend. I was surprised how well it worked. Anything over an inches and you need to feed it slow but it worked just fine. For the price you can't beat it.

Great little chipper/shredder

I have used this product for 3 days and I am impressed so far. It works great on dried wood and twigs up to an 1' thick. I haven't tried anything thicker than 1". I have also tried some green vines; it's ok but not many chips, just strings. Very thin pieces get through and are not fully chipped/shredded. I did try some leaves and brush, but the chute is very narrow and not worth the time. I used my leaf shredder instead. I plan on letting my fresh cuttings dry a few days before chipping/shredding in the future. It is very easy to clean and very rugged. It is light and easily transportable.

Good Chipper for the Price, but...

This unit does an excellent job chipping 1/4" to 3/4"...over or under those diameters it does not handle well. The branch must be as straight as possible. I keep a advil type pruning shears on my belt to remove attached smaller branches prior to inserting into the Chipper.
I'm happy with the job it does on the diameter branches described above. A little disappointed that it won't chip 1.5" dia. branches as advertised. But it's way under the gas variety chippers in price !

Very easy to use. Chips branches above 1/4 inch very well ( up to the published limit). Thin twigs do not chip to small. I have used this over 3 days 3-4 hrs. each day without a problem. One thing. There is a paddle to push branches into cutters when necessary. There is no good place to keep this paddle. A clip supplied to hold paddle is useless. I keep it in the handle which makes it difficult to reach the on/off switch.

Excellent chipper for its size

This chipper works very well within its stated limitations. I bought it the day after a hurricane here in NJ to clean up the mess. It worked very well for the branches it can accept. It was quick in shredding-chipping them and only stalled twice, once when I stuffed too many small pieces with leaves attached (green wood and leaves) and once when I managed to jam a large (but under 1.5 inches) branch in. Both jams were easily cleared by unscrewing one long bolt. The machine started right up after clearing it with no obvious damage. I do not see an easy way to use it to shred autumn leaves. I recommend hearing protection as well as eye protection. Assembly was easy. It is light enough to pick up with one hand.
