Fair warning

I did not trade in a phone thank goodness and have my Samsung Ultra 20 to go back too. So far my phone will not stay connected to my car blue tooth or on Android auto. Also the phone freezes up and some apps work and some do not.
On the plus side screen is beautiful and its a sturdy phone never runs hot.
Just feels like a step back.

I made a prior review about the pixel battery life and over heating and other issues.. I didn't want to give up on Google so I decided to try to give it a second chance. I did some research and found out ways to improve the pixel. I got this second pixel and I turned off the adaptive battery like I read and it's night and day. I'm pretty sure the phone I made my prior review about I had gotten a refurbished/returned phone compared to this one. I am finally seeing the flag behind this ship. Ha. But for real I am glad I gave it a second chance because I use Google for everything and this time my phone is better. It synced right over also so that was another plus. I didn't have to spend a bunch of time setting this one up. I'm now 8 hours into my 12 hour shift on my break and I'm only down to 79% battery, my prior one was down to 39% by this time. Word of advice if you're wanting this phone. Turn off the adaptive battery.

The smartest Pixel yet.

I usually purchase Pixel phones because frankly they're the smartest smartphone. There is. The Pixel 6 Pro is the smartest pixel yet?. The tensor chip that Google has made in house makes everything a lot faster from the live translate, to editing the pictures that you take. It's all really fast since it doesn't have to go to the cloud now. I get great battery life approximately 15 hours of use with 5 hours to 6 hours of screen on time. People have been complaining about the fingerprint sensor being slow. The way to improve that is to retrain the fingerprint sensor a few times in the beginning. Mine works every time now after I've done that. And of course all the safety features that Google offers as well as just the tweaks and the new software. Make it the most excellent and enjoyable phone to use. This is the fourth pixel phone I've own and it. It like I said before, it's the best and smartest. If you don't need a big phone, this is not the phone for you. I have big hands and the phone is very easily for me to maneuver. One thing that is in the software that people miss out on is one-handed mode where everything can be shrunk down to about half size for certain things that you use the phone for. Again, Google's made it real easy even to use this big phone with one handed mode. I would recommend this phone

By far the best Android phone on the market. The camera is incomparable to any other phone, even the iPhone (which is actually an overpriced and under developed device). The new Google made Tensor chip is incredible, this phone is lightning fast, charges super quick, holds an all day battery (and then some), and is not TOO big but just big enough.

I love everything about this phone... except the battery life. I have researched it and was advised to use adaptive battery for longer life, but I can't get through a day after 3 weeks of using it. This is rough after switching from another brand with the same 5000 mAH battery that lasted 3 days. Now I read a review that says someone turned off Adaptive Battery and gets better performance with the battery. I guess I'll switch and try that before getting rid of the phone. I guess it's not a problem as long as your in your car on near a plug in, but the three day battery was awesome. The photos are indeed awesome and the screen is beautiful. Some settings seem to randomly change but can easily be switched back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
