Best Pump Ever!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Medela Sonata Breast Pump is amazing!! It is the quietest pump I’ve ever used. It is lightweight, and I love the place to hold which makes it super easy to carry. I love that you can charge it up and take it with you. The charge lasted through numerous pumping sessions for me. I liked the bag it came with to carry the pump and supplies on the go. I liked that the pump links up to the My Medela App to keep track of when I pumped, and I could input how many ounces. The best feature for me was the way it pumped. Not only was it the most comfortable pump I’ve ever used, but it also gave me an increase in the amount. I highly recommend this pump, and have recommended already to everyone I know!! Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for giving me this Pump to try!!

Best Pump On The Go!

For my first kiddo, I used the Pump In Style Advanced and liked it. I was given the Sonata breast pump to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel and I absolutely love it! I've used it now for a few months and can't say enough great things about this pump. My favorite features of the Sonata are the battery (I can get 3 solid 20-minute sessions without fear of losing power), noise level (no fear of being on a call at work while pumping, they'll never know), and the ease of cleaning. Those pump parts y'all - they are a lot easier to clean than the Pump In Style. I started using the Sonata once in a good routine when back to work after having my second kiddo, so didn't use the My Medela app, but I think I would have really liked using that in the first couple months of pumping. The display that shows the time/level is a little hard to read, but it's not a huge issue. If you're able, go for the Sonata, it really makes a difference.

Quiet, Hightech and Comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a wonderful pump!! I received this pump as part of the Weespring Parent Panel. I love how quiet yet powerful it is. It’s noticeably quieter than my Spectra S1. It’s pretty to look at, too! The parts are very easy to disassemble to clean and sanitize. Although, I feel like the bottle and pump parts are on the heavy side. When I use a pumping bra the weight of the bottle and parts tends to sag quite a bit. It’s not a deal breaker, but is definitely something to know.
I really love the App integration! It’s so incredibly helpful to keep track of how often you pump and also how many ounces you pump at a time. My milk supply slightly increased when I started using this pump. Honestly, I’m not sure if it was because of the pump itself or because tracking through the app helped me pump more consistently.
Love the rechargeable battery! I take it with me and pump while I’m out and about. But the battery doesn’t seem to last very long. I had to charge it at least once a day, sometimes twice. I can pump for almost 2 days without charging my S1 so the weak battery on the Medela Sonata is a little disappointing and inconvenient.
The touchscreen display panel is also really nice but is hard to read if you’re in a bright room, in the car during the day or outside. There’s unfortunately no way to adjust the brightness. And I also feel like the numerical display is a little clunky. It’s readable but the light bleeds so the display can stand to be a little more sharp.
Overall the pump is pretty impressive! Powerful, high tech, quiet, comfortable and efficient.

Literally the best pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this breast pump from the weespring parent panel and I fell in love! This is the 3rd breast pump I have tried since June 2017. I though the last one I tried was great but this is even better! It's sleek looking and very portable. You're not trapped sitting in one spot stuck to the wall. cause you CHARGE this one. so cool! It's not loud at all which is a plus. We all know how annoying loud breast pumps are. The milk stimulator feature is great! and it's so cool cause it connects to the app medela app. the little cooler for your milk is amazing and I wish I had it for traveling in the past. plus bag to carry it around with you. I can't say anything bad about this pump what so ever. its amazing! Thank you medela for making such a great product!

Hooray for Pumping

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been pumping with various pumps for the last four years and the Medela Sonata pump works well compared to others. I really liked the design and loved that it came with different cup sizes and details about how to find the best one for my breast size. This pump allowed me to express about the same amount of milk as with other pumps and I like that it is quiet. I loved all the accessories that it came with, like the carrying bag and ice bag with multiple bottles. My only complaint is that the digital numbers look a bit funky, so sometimes it's hard to read the numbers.

Quietest Breast Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very impressed by the overall look of the Medela Sonata when I first opened up the box. I have used other Medela breast pump products in the past with great success, and was very excited to try this product which I received for free to test and review by the weeSpring Parent Panel. The first thing I noticed with this product was how incredibly quiet it was. I work from home, and was able to make phone calls and even do video conference calls while I was pumping, with no issues. I never ended up using the MyMedela app for this product, due to not fully understanding its usefulness. My overall milk production ended up not being any more than my other Medela breast pump I had used in the past, but it was very comfortable to use. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs to work while pumping, since it is the quietest pump I have ever used.

High Quality Breast Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a working mom, and I mostly pump as opposed to breastfeeding my son directly. I have struggled with my milk supply since returning to work, and I have tried several different breast pumps to combat this issue. Compared to other pumps, the Sonata is extremely comfortable. I have had some pain with other pumps that I have used, and I have not experienced this at all with the Sonata. It is easy to customize the suction strength and frequency to find the perfect fit. The Sonata also expresses more milk than other brands that I have used. The machine is very quiet as well, which is really important if you are pumping at work, and has a great battery life, so you don't have to worry about being connected to an outlet.
Something unique to the Sonata is the My Medela app - this is an awesome feature that allows you to track stats on your pumping experience and milk output, which is so crucial for anyone concerned about milk supply, or anyone pumping more frequently than breastfeeding directly.
My only complaints about the machine are that it is pretty large, so you definitely have to have a pumping specific bag to carry it around in, and it is an expensive pump. I received the Sonata from the weeSpring Parent Panel so I did not have to purchase it myself, but I would be hesitant to spend this much, as this model was not an option through my insurance.
However this is a really wonderful pump that is both comfortable and really efficient!

The fact that I can take it literally anywhere with me because it holds a charge (as well as plugs in to the wall) It comes with a portable icepack to store the bottles. The letdown feature that helps pump milk quicker, as well as different strength levels. It lights up so there is no problem seeing and adjusting your settings in the middle of the night. Easy to clean, and even comes with a bag to store and take it all with you! WELL worth it's price tag.
