Terrible suction

I received this pump through my insurance and regret it greatly. The suction is awful and I can barely get 2oz total when I pump with it. My medela hand pump is amazing and I get 3+ oz each pump. Now that I am back to work I worry continuing with my walk pump my supply will drop and I will have to supplement even more or I will get another case of mastitis. I exclusively pump so I need a great pump and this is just not it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed

I received this pump through my insurance. For the first three months it was great! But even with my replacement parts, the suction is now horrible. It also occasionally shuts off as if the motor is going out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stopped working

I’ve been Only using this for 2 weeks and the machine suddenly stopped! I agree its like less suction i Love the product when i had my first Child. It was More sufficient.

Randomly turns off

I received mine from the hospital, I’m not sure if it was dropped at some point but my pump sometimes doesn’t turn on and when it does it turns off every 5 minutes or so.

Great pump

I loved this pump I ordered through Aeroflow with insurance and it had great suction and very comfortable. I’m sad that it stopped working my second wks now of pumping my baby is in the cicu right now and I can only pump so I’m manually pumping at night now. I’ll try to get in touch again tomorrow with manufacturers to see if they can replace it hopefully
I would recommend this to a friend!

But WHY? Changed for the worse.

This is my second medela pump and it is much worse than the older version. The one thing I like is that the pump is smaller than the older version, so I guess more portable. But the pump bag it comes with is MUCH smaller, so it more than offsets that benefit. The pump parts are more difficult to use and more expensive. The door to clasp the diaphragm in tightly looks like it is about to break any day now and does not have a good locking mechanism to ensure it is closed properly. The diaphragms look cool, but they are more difficult to use and after microwaving them a couple of times for sanitation, they really don't like to lay flat to allow me to close the clasp of the system. The worst part about this pump is that the parts and pump are not universal to the older version. The old pump parts are not compatible with the new pump version. So I can't use my extra pump parts I have from previous babies. Instead, I have to buy extras of this one if I want to pump more than once at work. I still have my old pump and have gone back to using that one. This new one is not the "upgrade" that it should be. In terms of pump effectiveness, it is pretty much the same as the old version.

Can't double pump.

Firstly I can't pump both sides at once or the pump doesn't suction enough (this is my third baby I know how to pump correctly) secondly the slits in the grey part don't have a seal to prevent milk from spilling out and I just wasted 3.5oz of the 4oz I pumped. It's very loud and I over all hate it. Would not recommend to anyone.

can't see how much is in the bottle

You can't see how much you have pumped because the part is grey. I like the everything this else-it is way better than the spectra pump I have but the grey piece blocks the bottle. I do like how compact the unit is and it would be easy to travel with.
