I wish I had this with my first!

The PIS with max flow is a game changer. I so wish I had this with my first child. It is smaller, sleeker, quieter and much gentler than the PIS I had with my first. I know the technology has improved, and I am here for it! Super modern, super easy to clean and easy to tote around. I am so glad I get to test this out as a Stellar Product Testing Panel participant. I’m sharing this info with all my friends. Highly recommend

Comfortable but inefficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the idea of this pump. The bag, all the accessories, the silicone on the flanges, the pump size, but it just didn't remove milk for me. I usually get at least 4 ounces per session, and I didn't even get half an ounce in almost 30 minutes with the Pump in Style with Max Flow. I did not like the pre-timed settings. I needed more time in the stimulation phase so had to turn the pump off and back on a couple of times. The best thing about this pump are the flanges. The silicone edges are genius! I appreciate the Stellar Product Testing Panel allowing me to test the Pump in Style with Max Flow, but unfortunately I had to go back to my old pump.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the size and efficiency of this pump!

So happy to have received this product through Stellar Product Testing Panel! Love this pump compared to my previous Medela! It expresses quickly and efficiently. I also love the smaller and lighter size making it easier to travel/commute with (prior to COVID that is!) But now I also like that it is small/slim enough to store in a hutch drawer when not in use. It was comfortable and easy for me to figure out and navigate and find a setting I liked. (I am one of those that usually doesn’t spend a lot of time viewing instructions lol!) I am a fan of the parts and the ease of breaking them down to clean. It’s not necessarily less parts than my original Medela, but I like that they are bigger parts and easier to break apart and clean. I am not a big fan of the little tiny white circle flap things from original Medela, and this one doesn’t have those. Yay! My favorite feature is the suction, along with the shape of the cups. They are way more comfortable with the flexible rim and the more oval/natural shape versus the round plastic ones of the original. (I took photos of original versus Pump in Style with Max Flow for comparison.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome new pump from a trusted brand

I was so excited to receive the the new Pump in Style with Max Flow as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. As a mom who has recurrent mastitis and oversupply , pumping is serious business around here!
Pros: The new design of the breast shield is more comfortable than any other shield I've used. It is contoured which allows for a closer fit to the breast and has a rubber outer rim for comfort. The two phase suction initiated quick letdown and effective expression. The design of the new connector and membrane is easy to clean with no more tiny membranes that can easily get lost or damaged. This pump comes with everything you need to pump on the go; battery pack, cooler, ice pack, bottles, sleek pump, tubing, flanges and carrying bag. I took the pump camping and felt no difference in suction using the battery pack vs the power adapter. With other closed pumping systems I've tried there is constantly condensation in the tubing, I appreciated that the tubing remained condensation free. This makes me feel more confident that it is truly a closed system and the tubing is staying clean.
Cons: I wish that there were a small display to let you know what level suction you are on or if the machine had a way to program your saved preferences. It was a minor inconvenience, but having to count how many times I pressed the increase suction button each time I pumped was a nuisance. A timer display also would have been appreciated, with an oversupply I have to be mindful that I don't pump for too long and I can easily lose track of time when scrolling through social media while on the pump ;) The last thing is that although I like the design of the new membranes for cleaning and keeping track of, there are lots of grooves that milk gets trapped in. For moms who are struggling with supply it could be frustrating to lose that liquid gold.
All in all it is a fantastic pump that removes milk quickly and effectively and I would absolutely recommend it to a friend!

Easy to clean & operate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Expressing breastmilk can be time consuming and uncomfortable, as well as clean up. Thanks to Stellar Panels, I was able to try the The Medela Pump in Style with Max Flow. It made my experience more comfortable. The oval-shaped, curved rims of the flanges contoured to my body.
The set came with four storage bottles, all necessary pieces for the pump connectors, a wall connector, as well as a battery pack, a sleek carrying case, and a small cooler with cooling element for milk storage. While it takes 8 AA batteries, the convenience of not being tied to a wall outlet is immeasurable!
The pre-programmed settings created ease of not worrying about remembering settings from each pump. The two-phase expression was a gentle but effective shift.
While I did not express as much milk with this breast pump, the portability and user-friendly settings easily made it worth using on a regular basis. With less parts, clean up was easier and quicker. The micro-vibrations made me conscious of the surface on which I set the pump, though were overall soothing.

Wish I could have loved it

I really wanted to love this product because I absolutely loved how it is so compact and easy to put together and that It can be ised with battery power or plugged in. However, there were a few things lacking for me. The first was that I got significantly less milk using this pump despite trying several settings. Maybe I need to use a few more times to figure out the best setting, but with a mobile 10 month old and full time work It was taking me twice as long to pump which is inconvenient and I need every extra minute I can get! I did like how comfortable the pump was. I found all the settings I tried very comfortable, no pain or rubbing anywhere which was nice. Another downfall was the ease of cleaning, I found these parts more tedious to clean than others I have used. While not a total deal breaker, since I only pump at work, it might be for someone who is exclusively pumping. The parts also seemed quite bulky with lots of pieces so storage of multiple sets could be difficult if you have limited space like I do. Like I mentioned before, I love how compact the pump itself its and the bag it came with is great for portability. It also came with a cooler with ice packs and 4 bottles which is great and convenient if you don't have a refrigerator readily available. The bag could be a little larger especially if you need to pack the pump and all the bottles.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Game Changer

I am a mom who has issues with not having enough suction to fully empty my breasts and it tends to leave them engorged but this pump is awesome! The let down/expression feature is a game changer and so so helpful with makIng sure I able to get the milk down and pumped. I love how it automatically switches from expression to pump or has a button to switch manually as well as several different suction levels. It’s so easy to put together to use and then take apart to clean and store. The additional battery pack for aa batteries to be able to bring it on the go is a lifesaver! It’s so comfortable and doesn’t cause pain when pumping even when engorged!

Stylish and easy to clean Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this was a stylish, effective pump with easy to clean parts. It worked about as good as my other pump with less tug at my boobs. It was easy to feel comfortable with this pump because of the vibrations and the softer outer ring. This pump is super easy to clean because of the limited number of parts that do not have small holes. I liked all the accessories that came with the pump but because it was my second child, did not need the bag/cooler. It would be nice to have the option to get the pump with or without the extra bags. I did appreciate the extra bottles/cooler that came with the pump as well as an outlet free power source option. Because the bottles with the pump attachment are so top heavy, if I did not use the stands my bottles would fall over and milk would very quickly fall out of this pump. I could lose an ounce in just a few seconds if it toppled. If you get this pump- make sure to use the stand. I also wish the pump had a timer on it so I didn’t have to track my start time. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump.
