Great Pump!

I got this pump through insurance. I absolutely love it. The suction is great,the flanges are comfortable, the tote bag holds everything you need. Love the fact it can be mobile with the battery pack. The only problem is it is not very quiet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Portable and powerful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to use with my second child who is now 2 months old. After 2 months of consistent use the pump works as great as the first use. I love the battery pack feature that allows you to take the pump anywhere. I love how easy the parts are to clean as well and the fact that there isn’t a bunch of pieces to keep track of. I received a gift card for my honest review on this product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Could be better

This pump would have been amazing if I didn’t have to spend so much to keep up with replacing the membranes. I wish I knew that before I bought this pump that you couldn’t just replace the yellow membrane you had ti replace the whole connector. It’s just a waste of material.

Love the style but has a flaw

Got this new been pumping now for 9 months but sometime I have to give the pump a bump for it to start working . Other then that I highly recommend this product.

Not a fan, too much effort required

While I'm a big fan of Medela as a company, I do not like this pump. I was using it as directed but the connector parts were not draining me. I have a huge oversupply because I gave birth to twin boys about 4 months ago and they spent a few weeks in the NICU while I built up a supply. The connector parts that the pump came with just weren't effective at getting out the milk. So I started to use the connector parts they gave me at the hospital -- only to find that those parts are not compatible with this pump when I had an accident and damaged the pump. The pump sucked up milk through the tubing and into the machine. Medela was wonderful and replaced the pump for me ASAP free of charge. I was very worried because I'm extremely prone to clogs which are incredibly painful and labor intensive to work out. So I bought the medela hand pump which honestly works better than this pump does.
I've since only been using the connector parts designed for the machine but I have to pump 6-8 times a day and every pump session takes at least 45 minutes to an hour. I have to deeply massage my breast tissue to get the milk moving enough through the pump. And then I have to turn off the pump and hand express for up to 20 minutes after just to get everything out! I'm so exhausted, honestly. I'm up for at least 4 hours in the night for my night pumps and feeding the babies. Even when I breastfeed the boys, I still have to pump after for 30-45 minutes. My hands are weak from hand expressing and massaging. I have a horrible case of postpartum carpal tunnel. I didn't have this problem to this extent when I was using the other connector parts but I don't want to break the machine again. I absolutely cannot leave milk undrained or I will end up inflamed and in miserable pain, so I really have no choice but to put this much effort into pumping. This pump might be fine for someone with a more reasonable supply but as someone who is producing almost a gallon every day (not including the actual breastfeeding), I'm both tired, sore, and a bit hopeless at this point.

Horrible!

This pump just doesn't consistently generate enough suction to be of any use. It's destroying my milk supply.

Absolutely garbage

First time parent here. I had no idea I can choose my breast pump and this was covered by insurance so I didn’t do my research. My baby was born in April and I’ve been struggling with my milk supply since then. I replaced the parts religiously, took lactation supplements, pretty much tried everything. No luck! Until another mom offered me to try her pump ! What a world of difference. This medela pump is garbage, on top of that I spent a ton of money on parts, and stressed over how I am going to maintain my milk supply. Needless to say I placed an order for a different brand breast pump.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
