Just had my second baby and decided to go with the medela because that's what I used for my first but I am kicking myself for not getting the other one. This new version has a vibrating feeling that I dont like. The on button doesnt always work and the time of suction is never the same. I hate that I cant tell what number it's on for suction. The new closed system is nice but to replace the one peice is expensive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this pump but...

I bought this pump in January so excited to use it. I've always loved medela. After using this pump I lost suction on it. I've changed out parts/tube to dry to fix it no luck. It worked great when I bought it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not compatible with other medela connectors!

I'm on my third medela pump. I picked the pump in style this time around. There should be a huge an obvious warning card that states it's not compatible with the older connectors. I would not have gotten this model had I known. I now have a drawer full of useless parts from my last two pumps, and unless I want to shell out more money, I have to wash the one set of connectors I have after every use, which is fine for at home but irritating to try to go anywhere! I'm also lucky that I immediately caught it when I was using an old connector and the milk started backing up into the tubing. It didn't reach the pump, and I was able to blow most of the moisture out, but now I'm constantly inspecting the tubing waiting for it to mold, unless I shell out more money again to get another set of tubing. So frustrating!

Didnt last long

FTM, I got this through my insurance and this pump was great in the beginning but didn’t last me 3 weeks. I exclusively pumped because my LO was having a latch issue. Thankfully I found a position that was comfortable for her to latch and I was able to nurse. The pump has lost most of its suction, takes me twice as long and it randomly shuts off. Now I’m out looking for a replacement

Its easy to use but the suction is a lacking

I only had this option through insurance, it seems that one side suction is better than the other. I have an extremely premature baby amd will be pumping long term. I would not recommend this for full time pumpers.

Nice compact pump

I started using this pump a couple weeks after my daughter was born and have been using it for about 2 months now. I pump 1-3 times a day (and can easily get 5+oz per pumping session) as I work away from home and my baby stays home with dad and baby is exclusively breastfed. The parts are easy to clean, compact and intuitive to put together and take apart. The pump works efficiently and is quiet enough to use next to my sleeping baby.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It’s a nice pump when it works

Only got to use the pump for about three weeks before it stopped getting all the milk out. It still works a little bit so I can still use it but there is always still milk left over that I have to use a different hand pump to get the rest out. It’s causing a lot of problems. I would probably buy some thing else
