Great pump, efficient & quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used several pumps over the years and this is a really great one. Love the carrying bag it comes with. This pump is efficient, and quiet which is so nice. It had a really good fit with the different sizes. I received this breast pump from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I would definitely recommend this pump.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Medela Pump in Style with MaxFlow is a great product all around, from unboxing to usage to clean-up. I was impressed with the presentation of the pump and its accompanying pieces/gear. It was extremely easy to set-up and use -- probably took me less than five minutes to get going once I had properly cleaned everything -- and I love that it has fewer pieces than most breast pumps (for example, no duck bill valves; the milk flows right out of the bottom of the connector into the bottle you're pumping into). Less stuff to clean or replace is a win in my book, because who has time to wash yet another thing? As far as efficiency goes, I was pleased with the output I got with this pump. I was able to produce 4 ounces in less than 10 minutes, which is very quick (and my daughter won't let me sit still for much longer than that, so that's a good thing!) My favorite thing about this pump is how comfortable it is to use. The PersonalFit Flex breast shields were different than anything I've ever used and the soft, flexible rims were much more comfortable than cold, hard plastic. They also conform well to your body and help to create a good seal/suction. It was a nice plus that the pump came with a battery pack to use on the go and a simple, nondescript black and grey bag to carry everything in. My only complaints were that it isn't the quietest, and I found that even on the highest setting, I could have gone a few clicks higher. Overall, this is a high-quality, easy to use pump that was comfortable and efficient.

My new favorite pump!

I found the Pump in Style with MaxFlow as good as or better at expressing milk than other pumps I've used (both Medela brand and other).
Pros:
- Quiet (for the most part)
- Simple and straightforward to use, very few buttons
- The soft rimmed breastshields are MUCH more comfortable than all plastic -- especially if you're not using a handsfree pumping bra
- Fewer pieces to clean
- Closed system
- Comes with a battery-powered option
- Small, not awkwardly shaped, easy to bring to work or travel with
- Comes with a bag!!

Great design but would like a few changes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love certain things about this pump, like the super comfortable Suction cups and it seemed like the design and the features were very well thought out.
I do wish this pump was a little bit more powerful and the one thing I don’t like is the fact that I can’t see my actual nipple when it is pumping because the suction cups are frosted and white (not clear- see through) so you cannot see how much milk is coming out which makes it hard to adjust the settings. I do think the overall price is a little steep for how it performs.
I also like the small compact design of this pump and the carrying case that has an ice pack perfectly shaped to go around your expressed milk bottles, making it easy to travel with this pump.
Thank you stellar reviews for allowing me to test out this pump in exchange for my honest feedback.

Amazing Upgrade!

Exclusively pumping for the last few months with a new baby and a outdated pump, I desperately needed a new one. I was ecstatic to get this Medela Pump in Style with Max Flow. Some of the first things I noticed, the pump itself is light, very compact and modern looking. The breast pump bag that is included, is actually very stylish! It doesn't look like a "pump bag" at all. It's large enough for the pump and all accessories but not much more than that. A really nice little cooler and ice pack are included, fits right into the bag. Setting it up to use for the first time was very easy. The updated breast shields are much more comfortable, they are oval shaped, which is different but it works well. The let down is gentle and automatically switches to expression after 1 minute. The pumping experience with this pump overall is gentle and non-aggressive like others I've used. There is no dial or knob. Just four simple buttons. On/Off, increase/decrease suction and let down, which will switch you to expression mode. It has Y-shaped tubing that doesn't tangle, has a tubing holder for single pump use and I haven't experienced any condensation issues. One of the best things is that this pump is so incredibly quiet! It's nice to be able to pump while away from home and not disturb anyone or let the entire world know that you are pumping. Using this pump has absolutely increased production for me, I'm pumping 40-50 oz. daily. I was not pumping this much with my old pump. It's the only one I've used that is just about as efficient as the hospital pump. The pre-programmed settings work well for me. I feel like the increases/decreases are consistent, very easy to find my "happy medium." My favorite part of having this pump overall, is that there are far less parts to clean. Makes having to pump less of a hassle. No tiny membranes, I can't tell you how many of those I had lost! The only improvement I could wish for, a small display maybe. While I love the overall simplicity, and I don't mind counting the + button pushes to find my setting, I wish it had a timer. I do generally use my phone but it's an extra step for something that,
feels like it should have been standard. This however, is in no way a deal breaker for me, I love the pump either way. Just something worth mentioning. I was lucky enough to be given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Comfortable and Efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mom of a newborn who is exclusively breast feeding, the Pump in Style with Max Flow is a complete game changer. It is by far the best breast pump I have used. I am able to express more milk in record time when compared to other medela breast pumps. The Medela personal fit flex breast shields are very comfortable as they sit nicely on my breasts from beginning to end. I attribute the shortened length of the breast shields to the efficient suction and expression of milk which ultimately results in a quicker pumping session.
My favorite feature was the pre-programmed settings as you can just press start and the pump takes care of the rest. To add, the Medela personal fit flex connectors were also very easy to clean as there are few parts to be dissasembled for washing and drying. I also loved the bag that that came with the pump which is of great quality, fashionable and compact.

The only con is that the pump does not have a built in timer, so you have to keep track of time yourself. Other than that, no complaints.

Compact and strong!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always had an issue with producing for both of my babies. I typically can only get an ounce or two each pump session and it was very frustrating but after I started using this breast pump, I was pleasantly surprised and was able to pump 2-3 ounces consistently! I am in LOVE with this breast pump!! It is so sleek and compact and quiet! I’ve always hated how other pumps are big, bulky and super loud but this product comes with a very sleek carrying bag that looks like you’re just carrying a purse. It makes going to work and having to carry a pump, less inconvenient and obvious. I really appreciate the pre programmed settings because it takes all of the guess work out of pumping and all I have to do is sit back and relax. No more having to constantly switch around knobs to change settings manually while having to hold the breast shields, this model knows will go between longer drawn out pressure settings to quick short pressure settings and I find that the switches between the two automatic pressure settings really helps my let down produce more. The membranes for this model are so nice and easy to clean with a little bottle brush and feel much sturdier than the old traditional ones with a plastic flap. The breast shields are very comfortable and have more flexibility to them compared to the traditional hard plastic kind. One of my favorite features of this pump are the bottle stands that prevent the bottle from tipping over while the breast shields are still attached resulting in and spilled milk. I also really appreciate the compact cooler and ice pack because I bring my pump to work and I no longer have exposed bottles in the office fridge, I now discretely have my milk tucked away in the cooler in the fridge and then when I leave work, the cooler fits perfectly in the carrying bag. This model is very easy to clean because all of the parts come apart very easily allowing to fit into a dishwasher or sterilizer. The only thing I would really like is if the pump itself had a light gauge to indicate what level of strength you are on while pumping so I can more easily measure how strong I can get. I had the opportunity to test and review this pump, thanks to stellar product testing panel!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All breast pumps were not created equal! Luckily the Medela Pump In Style with Max Flow is easy-to-use, portable and lightweight. It is so simple to figure out, it’s compact and it just simply gets the job done! I’m a huge fan of the cooler and ice pack it comes with. When pumping at work or out-and-about, it’s great to not have to worry about any of my precious liquid going bad! Also, did I mention it comes with FOUR bottles?!
However, let’s be real. The biggest benefit here is the amount of milk that is pumped. I found that I pumped noticeably more milk with the Pump in Style with Max Flow than I did with my other pump. I am so glad I have this pump - and so is my baby!
I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
