Compact and efficient

I wish I had this pump when I went back to work with my first baby! The pump I had previously used (another brand) was bulky to carry around and could only be used with an outlet. I love how compact the Medela Pump In Style is, and that it has a battery powered option. The worst part of breastfeeding for me is feeling tethered at all times, but I feel like I could travel with this pump no problem. I also love that this pump is a closed system and doesn’t have a million parts to clean. As far as efficiency, I do feel like I get a bit more out of this pump (and faster) than my previous one. I struggled with low supply with my first baby, and pumping was a chore. I don’t dread this pump as much because it’s so easy to use. Overall I’m happy to now have this, and plan to get rid of my other pump. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump!

Tiny but mighty!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a second time mom, I was not looking forward to pumping after I returned to work. Let's face it, most pumps are bulky and flanges are uncomfortable - at least that was my experience with my first pump. But then I was sent the new Pump in Style with Max Flow as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and my pumping experience has definitely changed for the better!
Pros:
-The pump is very compact, it's so much more portable than others
-The flanges are an oval shape instead of round, and the comfort fit silicone ring just made them so much more comfortable
-This pump comes with a cooler for your milk, plus a cute carrying bag for all your pumping supplies (it would get so much more use if I wasn't working from home during COVID)
-Easy to clean
-Closed system, with no condensation in the tubing, so I know everything is staying sanitary
-The pump is very compact, it's so much more portable than others
-The flanges are an oval shape instead of round, and the comfort fit silicone ring just made them so much more comfortable
-This pump comes with a cooler for your milk, plus a cute carrying bag for all your pumping supplies (it would get so much more use if I wasn't working from home during COVID)

Great for the mom on-the-go, just a little loud

I received this breast pump from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When it first came, I was so excited to see all of the functional parts. From the silicone rims to the bottle stands, Medela truly made this with the mom in mind. It is a comfortable pump with easy portability. The purse that accompanies the pump system is spacious, allowing room for the pump, bottles, and even your wallet. When there is no electrical outlet option, you can use the battery pack with ease.
An extra bonus is the bottle carrier! This mini-themal bag comes with four bottles with caps and a freezer pack that perfectly fits in between the bottles. Since it is small, it keeps four bottles with milk sufficiently cold and several bags frozen.
The parts disassemble to make cleaning quick and easy, yet is still easy to reassemble! When you first attach the shield onto the breast and press start, it creates a microvibration to mimic a baby feeding. This stimulates let down naturally. It is then simple to adjust the pumping setting to where you need it, which makes it efficient to pump as much milk as possible in little time.
My only complaints are the noise of the pump as it was louder than my last pump, and the difficulty of obtaining bottle tops and nipples for the bottles. As a working mom, there are times that I pump and put the bottle directly into the fridge for my husband or babysitter to use with my baby. Since the bottles only came with caps, I either had to pour the milk into a bag or other bottle.
Altogether, a wonderful pump that is easy to use, comfortable, efficient, and great for on-the-go. I highly recommend the Medela Pump in Style with Max Flow and was thankful to have received it (and shared my opinion directly with Medela).

Great Improvements!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a breastfeeding + pumping mama for over two years now, and have used MANY different pumps. The Pump in Style with Max Flow is my current favorite (keeping in mind I actually hate pumping--it's so much work and quite depressing when you're at work, missing your babies). But, as far as pumps go, here's why it's my favorite:
First, the flanges are amazing. They aren't the traditional Medela plastic cups, instead they're a softer, maybe silicone? They mold to your breast, they're much more comfortable, and I personally think they allow you to turn the suction up higher (and more suction = more milk = less time pumping!).
Second, the pump is SO QUIET. This is a huge improvement from previous Medela models (and even other brands). If you need to take a quick call, or you want to listen to a podcast, or you just want to sit in rare silence--you can! And your pump isn't ambushing your ear drums with its crazy loud whirring.
The pump itself is smaller, and comes with adapters. This is just hands down convenient, and I appreciate it.

This isn't game changing for me, since I tend to need a larger milk storage bag anyway (I'm a nurse, so I pump 5 times on days I work), but if you're getting this particular set to use the bag with, you may end up needing another bag.

Upgraded pump with many new features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this pump to review as part of the Stellar Parent Panel. I was very pleased with this new version of the Pump in Style. I have used previous Medela pumps and this is definitely an upgrade. I love the small size and portability of this pump. Much easier to transport to and from work every day! I also love that it’s now a closed system and there are less parts to clean. The new design of the flanges is very comfortable and the pre-programmed settings are easy to use. I found this pump to be more efficient that others I’ve used and I could tell it was hospital grade. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of the battery. This pump would be perfect if it had a rechargeable battery, instead it only works if it’s plugged in or with a battery pack that takes 8 AA batteries.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Comfortable!

I have used several breast pumps between 3 kids. This one is great. I love the different preprogrammed settings. The suction is similar to my baby’s suckling motions. Very efficient and so comfortable! The pump parts are very easy to clean which is so important when you’re busy. It’s lightweight and portable compared to some of my other pumps. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for letting me test this breast pump!

I’ve tried so many pumps....I’ve been a nursing/pumping mom, who works out of the home, through three children now and some how have cycled through to many different pumps. Medela, has remained a staple for me and this pump was no different. It was easy to clean, comfortable and I really appreciated the little stands to prop your bottles in (because who has time to clean up spilled milk when you’ve got a newborn?!?)
The reason for only four stars is that I just couldn’t say that it seemed to pump milk anymore efficiently then my older Medela pump. Don’t get me wrong, it did a great job, it just didn’t seem superior. The pre-programmed settings were a nice bonus to get to trial but I think I would still put the product in the tried and true brand category; not flashy or unique, but reliable and effective. You can’t go wrong with this pump.

So nice and compact!

I’ll start by saying this pump is absolutely so great, and compact! The carrying case is perfect and easy to lug around. I’ve tried a few pumps, being as I’ve breastfed 3 kids, and this one is my favorite! I loved my old pump, but it was just so big, and didn’t come with a bag like this one. The setting were great, expresses well, and I’m obsessed! It even comes with a battery pack which is so convenient! Everything about this pump from the actual pump, to the breast shields and bags! It’s so well thought out. I received this pump free to test and for a review from the Stellar product panel, but let me be clear in saying that I genuinely would have loved and gotten this pump even if I purchased it myself.
I would recommend this to a friend!
