Compact and Powerful Breast Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Pump In Style with Maxflow through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was super excited to try it. I have been avoiding pumping during my breastfeeding journey with my second child as I don’t have a lot of extra time while juggling an infant and a toddler. Usually pumping feels like it ties me down for yet another period of time, in addition to breastfeeding my son. But with the convenient battery pack included I was able to multitask while doing my tasks around the home. My only suggestion would be to have the ability to put the battery pack inside the pump so I would only need to carry one object versus two. Overall, I was impressed by how comfortable it was and felt efficient in expressing milk in a shorter amount of time than I am accustomed to with other breast pumps I have tried. I would definitely recommend this breast pump to breastfeeding moms.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. So glad that I was able to test this pump. It's very easy to use, the pre-programmed settings are nice, easy to clean, and stores nicely in the bag. The bag is also great for traveling. Even though I didn't get more milk than the brand I currently use, I was able to get basically the same amount. The settings aren't exactly right for me but they are very easy to use. The accessories are a nice touch, better than going out and buying separately or not having them at all. The pump is very easy to clean. Overall, I like this pump just as much as my current one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent pump!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this pump to review as part of the Stellar Parent Panel. What an awesome pump! I have used a previous version of the PIS but this new version is even better! Excellent portability, the pump comes with both an electric adapter AND battery pack for pumping on the go. I love that the system is now closed, and the redesign of the flanges improves comfort when you are attached to the pump many hours through the day. The use of diaphragms instead of duckbills or the yellow and white valves is a great advancement too-I find the pump to be more efficient and without fragile valves it is going to last longer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sleek Design, Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first Medela pump and I'm seriously considering making the switch. I loved the compact design of this new pump, especially compared to their older models. It is a closed system, which is a must for ease of cleaning. And it was really easy to use. It automatically switches between letdown mode and expression mode but you can toggle back if you need to stimulate another letdown. The tubing had easy connectors on the ends so it was very fast to set up. I love the removal of the duckbill thing. The backflow protector snaps into the top of the pump! One less piece to worry about forgetting and cleaning. It is a really cool design. It comes with a cute bag and an insulated cooler bag and fitted ice pack.
The things I didn't like were the fact that the pump doesn't have a screen with a timer or visible settings. The bag was a little too small. I felt like it was a jigsaw puzzle getting everything to fit just right in there and when I added a few of my own items, not everything fit.
I didn't really notice any difference in pump output between this one and others that I've used. But it was a nice change of pace. I'm providing this honest review in exchange for a free pump through Stellar Product Testing Panel.

The little one that could!

I am Amazed at this tiny but mighty breast pump! I will tell you why i titled it “The little one that could!” It worked excellent for me over this summer during trial period! Let me start off by saying the weight of this pump is like a feather. Being able to attach it to myself, keeping me hands free was a big plus plus! The pump itself has a loop that you can use to your advantage and hang it from your waist or do what i did when baby wearing my son i would attach it to my carrier around the waist area and be hands free! It very well protected my milk from backing up into the tubbing when bending over, compared to other brands used by me before, a big plus when it comes to breast pumps! The tubbing in this particular pump i noticed allowed me not to tangle up and this was amazing! The breast shells included are beyond excellent. They have a super comfortable soft rim and the fact that the shape on this pumps shells is oval was a big plus for me, i noticed a more efficient breast milk flow in each pumping session, and very comfortable breast shells. I was able to extract more ounces with its strong suctioning ! The settings was very easy to use this pump because they are preset, with fewer butons! It was very easy to wash and fewer parts made it much more quicker to wash everything down and prepare it for my next pumping sessions. The mimicking of babys sucking rythm was a plus, very comfortable to me. I will say it has a preset settings and it was strong sometimes depending on the milk let down flow speed during each session of mine. I noticed when i was much fuller in my breast this strong suction was a plus and just amazing for such a tiny lightweight machine! It got the job down quickly and effectively. When my milk let down was much less i did feel a little sore from the strong suction of this machine and had to play with the settings included, but this did not discourage me at all! I highly recommend this especially for those mommy’s who know they have a-lot of milk let downs, and just produce a-lot of breast milk! It was very easy to use, and convenient in order for me to get many pumping sessions throughout my days in a breeze! With just three buttons in control was a big plus in my opinion. The tote bag that comes with it is big enough and very stylish. I am big in matching and the colors of this particular tote bag was perfect in my opinion. I used it a-lot as a double pump but also had a choice to use it as a single pump which is a plus. The tubing provided made it easy to go from single-to double or vise verse during my pumping sessions. The battery pack included is what allowed me to be handsfree and do on the go pumping sessions which is a plus in breastfeeding pumps, hands free these days is very convenient! The cooling tote carries and cools 4 bottles and fitted perfectly inside the larger tote bag. I was able to homeschool my 5 kids and pump while baby wearing my son which i loved so much because this was very very convenient for me, and therefore i highly recommend this tiny mighty lightweight pump to other moms who are looking for an excellent pump during daytime usage! My favorite features was the oval shaped soft rimmed shell’s and the loop to hang the pump to allow me to be hands free! If you are a busy mommy and want a lightweight, easy, convenient, highly effective pump! This is the one for you! I highly recommend this and give it a 5 out of 5 stars! Thank you to the Stellar Product testing Panel for allowing me to use and review this excellent convenient cute pump!

My new favorite breast pump!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pump! I'm a second time mom, who breastfeeds at home and pumps while I'm at work. I have a hands free pump, and another major brand pump and this is my favorite one! I'm a "just enougher" so I was skeptical at the beginning, but after the first day I was pumping about an once more than my normal output (which is a big deal to me!)
Pump:The unit itself is small and very portable, not too loud but not winning any prizes on being quiet either. The settings on the pump are pretty straightforward. The express button takes about a minute and has worked almost every time for me. Occasionally I do have to push it twice before the milk starts flowing.
I do wish it had a timer like my other pump. I think that feature is very helpful and one less thing you have to keep track of. I also wish you could see the settings, its nice to know which setting you are on instead of just a + and a -.

Breast shield: I really like the soft flanges, they are very comfortable. The fact that they include 24mm & 21mm sizes is great too. I've had to purchase additional flange inserts with other breast pumps because the ones they came with were too big and/or rigid.
Bag/Accessories: The bag that's included is convenient and everything fits right in. It also comes with a small cooler bag and ice pack. Which is all I need! The only part I didn't use was the battery pack. I bought a car charger which worked perfectly.
All & all I truly do love this pump. Its really easy to clean and doesn't have a ton of little parts that can get lost. The fact that I get more expressed milk with it makes it a winner hands down!! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this breast pump.

Prefer the new MaxFlow Model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Pump in Style with Max Flow for close to 2 months now. I have been able to compare it to my older model of this brand and I prefer the max flow. The flanges are more comfortable - there is a silicone ring around the plastic edge which has greatly improved comfort. I don't have any issues with the changes in parts - everything is still easy to assemble, clean and dry. I will say one downfall of the newer style is the way the flanges/breast shield is shaped now - I used to be able to use my arm as a shelf to hold them up, but its a little more difficult with this style of shield. The pump has the let down setting which is wonderful, I just wish it lasted longer. I end up clicking it to run 2 rounds instead of 1 before it switches to the expression stage. The + and - are great to adjusting the strength of flow the your personal preference level. I didn't find an issue with finding a comfort level. I do feel the pump was able to express a bit more milk when compared to previous pumping sessions. I won't say it doubled my supply though. The size and portability of this new model are some of my favorite aspects. It is sleeker and more compact to fit in bags and when moving pump locations - I have used it sitting in a recliner and my car. It is light weight. The electrical cords are long as well as the tubing that is connected to the pump. I like how the pump tubing now has the Y connected in the middle. It is a great new addition to the Medela pump family. I received this product for my honest review from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

A really great improvement

This pump is great. It is small, quiet, and way more efficient. I love that the bag doesn't scream breast pump so can be versatile. The cooler bag with ice-pack is the perfect size to transport expressed milk daily and the provided battery pack is really useful for on-the-go use. Fewer parts make it much easier to clean. The new shape shields are a much better design and are much more comfortable, i really like that 2 sizes are provided. The max flow is a great improvement over the regular pump in style but its still not the same as a symphony.
I would recommend this to a friend!
