comfortable and effective!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 3 month old baby that had a very difficult time latching at first. Because of that I initially used a hospital grade pump to express milk for almost all of his feedings. At this point he is able to latch well, but I still pump for some bottle feedings.
I was excited to get the Pump in Style with Max Flow. It is compact, comes with the accessaries needed for on the go pumping, and even is able to use batteries so you don't have to be near and outlet. Some things I really like about it are that while it comes with a great bag to tote it around, it's quite small and could easily be packed away most anywhere. The motor is quiet, and the flanges are very comfortable. It comes with two sizes of flanges so you can be sure to get a good fit. I also really like how easy it is to clean all the parts. The bottles come apart easily and there aren't any small crevices that are difficult to wash.
In terms of how well this removes milk, I found it comparable to a hospital grade pump. It takes only slightly longer to remove as much milk as when I use a hospital grade pump. Having used a handful of different pumps, this one is definitely at the top of my list. It is comfortable, removes milk effectively, comes with all the accessories you need, and is easy to program so it pulls milk effectively without being uncomfortable, not to mention it's also the easiest to clean out of what I have tried.
The only things I would change if I could, would be to have a screen on the pump that shows the time you've been pumping and notes the setting choices, and to have a traditional screw connection to the bottle instead of with the grey piece which makes it a little more tricky to line things up and attach it to the bottle. Also, it doesn't bother me, but is worth mentioning that the battery pack is not built into the pump but instead plugs into the pump.

Great Pump, Expressed Quickly and Effectively

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pump was easy to set up. It has a simple design that is great when you are in a hurry or at work pumping. The pump style is modern and interesting to look at. It comes with two ways to power it up either with batteries or power plug, which helps if you are on the go. Four bottles come with the pump which makes it easy to store the pumped milk. I love the ice pack and bag that comes with it. The carry bag you can store the pump in looks like a purse which is awesome because it does not stick out when you are carry it into work or wherever you need to pump. The breast holders come in two different sizes which is good for me since my breast are a bit bigger than most.
My milk did not spill as I pumped. It pulled more milk out and quickly. I was able to express about 5 ounces in under ten minutes. It took some time to figure out which setting was best for me, but after a week I was comfortable with a certain setting that pulled milk out quicker without pain. As I said before the design is so simple, that it is extremely easy to take a part and clean. There are not any blind spots where milk is going to get stuck. My favorite parts of the pump were the pre-settings, the suction, the carrying bag, and the attachable bottles. I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Great portable pump and love all the new upgrades

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and absolutely love it! I used an older model of the Medela Pump in Style while pumping after my first child and thought it was great, especially to keep at work as I found it comfortable and efficient for frequent pumping at the office. I was very excited to receive this upgraded version and every single thing that annoyed me with the last version was fixed with the new one! First, it is more portable than the last model. I find it to be smaller and have fewer separate parts. I remember misplacing the membranes that connect to the valves with my older one and with this one the system is so much more streamlined and no more tiny parts to lose. It also ended up making it much easier to clean! Second, I also really appreciated the MaxFlow technology and felt that it performed a lot like the pump I used at the hospital after giving birth, which was also a Medela. Third, my favorite change is the new flanges which are PersonalFit Flex breast shields that are oval in shape. I found the shape and texture to be so much more comfortable than the ones that came with the older model. Overall, I feel that I expressed milk more efficiently and in less time and thought that the preprogrammed settings worked well for my needs. I pump at least every two hours and it was great being able to bring so much milk home to my growing baby. An added bonus were all the accessories that came with the pump. I love the carrying bag and use it as a small diaper bag because I think it’s so cute but maybe a little small for the bonus cooler that came with the pump. I would highly recommend this portable pump and think it’s great if you have to pump away from home on a regular basis.

Great for working moms- light, great bag, and work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive the Pump in Style through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This is the third pump I have used for pumping for my kids and this is hands down my favorite. I really enjoyed pumping with this model and would definitely recommend it to my friends. The pros: It’s the lightest set I’ve used. It expressed milk as efficiently as the other brands I have used. The bag is super stylish looking and doesn’t look like a breast pump bag, so would be perfect for work. It also has a lot of room and easy to see everything that is inside. This set is also the easiest to clean; I love that Medela replaced the small white membranes, which were easy to lose and so flimsy. The larger yellow membranes are much sturdier and clean nicely in my dishwasher. The settings seem very intuitive; I like that it automatically goes to express if the other setting is on too long. The only con for me is that it seems louder than the other two pumps I have used, but that was fixed by putting the pump on a towel instead of directly on a solid surface.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really happy when I got this pump as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
This is a huge upgrade for Medela, as it offers a closed system like one of its main competitors, and it previously did not. I love that it can be used without an outlet as I am frequently unable to plug in while working. It’s fairly lightweight too.
I really love that it comes with a cooler bag, ice pack, and other storage supplies for the milk. It’s nice to have everything together in one product, as opposed to needing to buy accessories elsewhere and in addition to the pump itself.
The suction is great. It had to be increased slightly because of the battery, but I am happy with it nonetheless!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a couple of different types of breast pumps and I have to say this is my favorite!! It’s very easy to use and clean. It’s quiet so it doesn’t wake anyone up in middle of night while I pump. I was able to pump more milk as opposed to other pumps I’ve used. It fits comfortably on my breast and does not hurt to pump. It’s almost mimicking how baby sucks in breast.
I like that it’s so much easier to clean as oppose to their pumps including other Medela pumps. I also liked the different accessories included in this set like the battery pack so I can pump milk while I’m on lunch. It has a cute purse that you can put all your accessories and pump and it looks like a normal purse not a pump bag. I liked how compact the actual pump was. So not too heavy or bulky. It comes also with the convenient cooking bag and ice pack that fits perfectly with the medela bottles. Overall, I’m very happy with this pump and recommend it.

I loved this automatic pump I got from Stellar product testing panel !!! Definitely helped me boost my supply AND was so much easier to use than my original hand pump. I was definitely pumping in style and had a max flow ;) the pump itself was very easy to use and the pieces even easier to wash. Made pumping a breeze just when I was giving up!! Thank you so much!!!! I love this pump and will definitely be keeping it for my 2nd child.

The best pump!

This pump has been hands down the best I’ve used! The pre programmed settings have made it so easy for me to use which is so important for me with two kiddos. So simple to use and I’ve been able to express the most breastmilk I ever have without any pain. Sooo comfortable! AND it is easy to clean. I love that it came with two breast shield sizes so I was able to see which one fit best for me and the bottle stands are lifesavers when I pump in the middle of the night! Couldn’t be more impressed by this pump. I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
