Just when you think a pump is the best it can be..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very lucky to receive this breast pump at no cost being part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. All thoughts are my own!
First things first, wow! This pump is fancy, but a solid product that does its job. I was able to attach it easily and quickly, and was pumping in no time. I have a good supply, so I can’t comment if it improved flow, but I will say it definitely did not hinder it! I actually loved programming the settings, at first I didn’t know how I would use this feature, but it worked perfect to have a morning pump, a power pump, and a late night pump setting! Very useful and user friendly feature. Actually, this and the hands free function was the feature I enjoyed the most on this pump. It was too bad the pieces didn’t fit with my other older Medela pump, but the fact that there are less pieces overall to disinfect and clean and misplace, is a huge bonus, also, I love that it is a closed system.

Pumping is so much easier and better now!

I've been around Medela products for years and have always been a fan. Now that I was going back to work and still exclusively breastfeeding with my 10 month old, this pump was something I really wanted to try. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was able to get my hands on one of these to try out!
So to start out I will say, the pump itself came as a starter kit with everything needed to start pumping. Included was two 21 mm PersonalFit Flex™ breast shields and two 24 mm PersonalFit Flex™ breast shields which I appreciated because I was able to test which size fit best and not have to go out and buy a different one, which is a problem i faced with a previous medela pump I owned. The extras it included were the four 5 oz bottles with lid to pump and store milk, a cooler, and cooler bag. These were perfect because the cooler itself has ridges in it to fit the medela bottles in the bag. This allows a perfect fit and snug to the bottle to touch the milk and keep it cold. I also liked that it included a Battery pack adapter for the pump so if needed, I can pump away from an outlet. It wasn't a separate accessory I would have to go out and buy if needed. The best part was it was all included in a nice microfiber bag to use to carry the pump around and store it.
Now for the pump itself, the first thing I noticed about it was how light and compact it was which I loved because a previous pump I used from another brand was the complete opposite. Having to use only one tube to pump for both sides is also amazing because one, it keeps it organized and you don’t have tubing all over the place getting tangled, and two, less thing to worry about packing and cleaning when having to pump. The PersonalFit Flex™ breast shields and the PersonalFit Flex™ Connectors with membranes were also easy to put together and A LOT easier to clean. I was able to open it up and clean up all the milk with Quick Clean™ Breastpump & Accessory Wipes (sold seperately) without having to rinse at work to keep it from getting stuck in there. With the set up being simple and the pump being so lightweight this is easily my favorite pump already because it makes pumping so much less of a hassle and easy to travel with whether to work or on a vacation.
The settings the pump has effectively pumps milk and definitely mimics baby’s natural sucking rhythm. The shields included are also more of an oval shape so it's a better fit to the breast and gets a better suction for the pump. As for an increase in milk, I do notice it because I can pump up to 2oz of milk even after my baby has finished nursing, normally I'd get like .5 oz after. When pumping at work I'm able to pump at least 4oz from each side with no issues. With my old pump I'd struggle making it to 3oz and REALLY have to work for the last ounce if it even happened.
This is going to be a recommendation to any moms looking for pumps and especially for busy moms who need to pump but want a minimal system. I will also be recommending it to first time moms looking for pumps because it’s so simple and will make a sometimes difficult and frustrating time, so much easier.

A Portable Gentle and Efficient Pump

I have tried several electric double pumps before and I found that the Medela Pump in Style Max Flow is one of the better ones out there. I received this pump from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.The pump is extremely comfortable and works well in extracting milk. What I like about this pump is that the gentle micro-vibrations suctioning is similar to my baby’s suckling and it was still able to efficiently extract milk. I did notice that this pump extracted more milk faster than other pumps. This is great because it means less time spent pumping and more time with my baby. The rubber oval breast shield is comfortable and easy to use with a pumping bra. This pump only has 4 parts to clean, which made cleaning fast and easy. The simplicity of the pump made it very easy to use even if you have never used a pump before. I liked that the pump automatically switches from stimulation phase to expression phase after 1 minute and it will automatically shut off after 30 minutes. What I like most about this pump is the battery pack because I was able to take it with me on the go or use it around the house when I don't feel like being tied down to an outlet. The pump comes with a versatile storage bag and cooler bag. The storage bag is big enough to fit the pump and some baby essentials. The cooler bag is a great size and super convenient to store my breast milk on the go. Overall, I would recommend this pump to anyone looking for a pump that is comfortable, efficient, and portable.

Great accessories, decent pump

I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. At first I was really excited about the pre-programmed settings, I hoped they would make using the pump easier and more effective. However, since I couldn't see and adjust the settings myself, it was a little more complicated and frustrating.I don't feel like the pump helped me to express more milk or milk any faster or more efficiently than my old Pisa.
Personally, the shorter flanges seemed worse in some ways, they didn't work well with my body. I prefer the dial to the buttons for settings because the dial is easier to see how strong the suction is. The flanges were more comfortable around the boobs, but the pumping was not any more comfortable than usual. The parts are easier to clean thoroughly, but more annoying to find space to dry it on the rack. I like that the tubes are connected and don't get tangled. The accessories are great if you're traveling or taking it to work. Another drawback is that this pump is noisier than the pisa.
I also wish that the plastic was clear so that I could see the milk coming out. In all fairness though, the tube in the box was bent, so it might not have as much suction as it would if the tube was in better condition
My favorite part would probably be the new flange design because they are softer and are more contoured to the breast.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good, Could Be Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pump in Style with Max Flow is an attractive pump that’s well designed. It’s small(ish) which makes it portable and convenient. It comes with a cute tote – the perfect size to fit everything you need without being overwhelming. The pump also includes a battery pack that allows mobility, which is handy for me when I need to save my baby from her brother’s “affection.” The cooler bag comes with a curved icepack, so bottles fit perfectly.
The pump includes 21 mm and 24 mm flanges. The 24s were painful and very inefficient—I pumped about 4-5 ounces LESS than usual. I did some MacGyvering, connecting my larger flanges (different brand) to the Pump in Style, and it was much more efficient in extracting milk.
The pump automatically starts on massage mode and switches to pump mode after one minute. I usually don’t get a let-down until close to two minutes, so it was a little annoying to have to switch it back and forth. Otherwise, it was easy to play with the setting and adjust the suction.
The pump parts were generally easy to clean, but the Flex connectors sometimes are difficult to open and have extra plastic so there’s more to scrub. The outside of the pump easily wipes clean and the closed system prevents milk or moisture from getting in the tubes.
There are a few things that keep this pump from being excellent:
1. There is no timer on the pump interface, so I have to time sessions on my phone.
2. There are no 27 mm flanges—the 24s didn’t fit, so I didn’t bother with the 21s.
3. The Flex connectors are a little frustrating.
4. It’s a little noisier than other pumps I’ve used.

This pump is amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this breast pump to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. As a parent, I always want what is best for my kids. I also want products that make life a little easier, well I found it. This is the holy grail of a breast pump. I have never expressed more milk in my life! I have tried all of the top breast pumps on the market and this is by far my favorite. It was so incredibly easy to use. I was able to find the perfect setting for myself in one session, which is a miracle! It is very comfortable to use and no pain whatsoever. The battery pack is a lifesaver so I am not tied up next to an outlet for 15-20 minutes a session. One thing I really liked about this pump was how quiet it is. I am able to pump in the middle of the night and not wake up my spouse who is right next to me. I highly recommend this pump to moms that need a super easy to use, quiet, and very effective pump!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my Pump in Style with Max Flow breast pump. It comes with pre-programmed settings which takes the guess work out of pumping! I was able to find the setting that was most comfortable and that my body seemed to respond to best. I was impressed that I was able too pump my usual pump volume in a shorter period of time than what I am used to with my old pump. It wasn’t difficult to clean which is a plus for a working mama! I am so happy that the pump now comes with a 21mm Breast shield (I used to have to buy it separately) and the flexible rim is much more comfortable than the previous model. I appreciate it being a closed system so the tubing stays clean! It is super quiet and it’s small size make it very portable. And I love the stylish yet low key bag! I received the Pump in Style with Max Flow from the Stellar Product Testing panel.

Awesome and Powerful little Breast Pump

The Pump in Style with Max Flow is a great option for cordless or corded pumping. I love that you have the option to go cordless so you don't have to be stuck to an outlet and the pump is small enough, it is easy to carry around. I found it did very well at expressing my milk and the controls were simple and easy to use with a brief look at manual. They had different size breast shields so you can fit it to the best size for your breast, which I found very helpful. I do love that the tubing was a single tube that you could very easily adjust to pump two breast or just one. So, simple and convenient...no more trying to hook up two cords!
I love the carrying bag that comes with the pump, it is very stylish and they have an awesome carry pack for the bottles with a fitted ice pack that holds 4 bottles. Super awesome for when you are out and about and don't have a fridge to keep them cold. I loved that the bottle stand actually was tight enough to hold the bottles upright....because I always have trouble with rambunctious toddlers and spilled milk, so that was a small but awesome detail. The pump was also really easy to clean, so two thumbs up! My only complaint is that the pump takes 8 AA batteries, which is a ton and it would be nice if they would come up with a rechargeable battery pack instead but that could also add to the ease of use if you are in a jam and you just need to grab some batteries at the store; could be a positive or negative.
Overall, I would definitely purchase this product again.
