Quiet, Efficient, Easy to use pump.

I am on my 3 child, so pumps are nothing new to me. This is my first medala pump, I really like how quiet it is.
It is efficient in helping to quickly Express milk, so I don't feel like a cow attached to a milking machine.
I like the different pre programmed settings, altho I sometimes get confused as to which mode I'm in(complete operator error on my part).
It is very easy to use, small, not a ton of parts to put together, amazingly easy to clean, I like how long the cord is.
It comes with some awesome accessories; a carry bag, a battery pack/unplugged option, 4 bottle cooler with a plastic ice pack/bottle separator, and of course the 4 bottles, lids, and 2 different sized silicone flanges.
My favorite part of this pump is the silicone flanges, I have never used them before in my 12 years of being a mom, they are able to be rotated in whatever direction is most comfortable for you, I did not know what I was missing! This pump has been my favorite of all pumps I've tried before.

When I was asked to test this pump by the Stellar Testing Panel, I was pretty skeptical as I had researched a lot of pumps before choosing mine. With my first child (3 years ago), I had a Medela and ended up having to exclusively pump, so I wanted to make sure that I got a good one for my second baby. The brand I chose was not medela, but I thought it was pretty good. Then I got this pump.
Let me tell you, it has definitely changed the game for me. I would get clogged ducts with the other brand, but never with this medela model. Like I said, I had a medela three years ago, but they have made crazy improvements to that model, including the following:

It is so super portable (it's tiny and weighs next to nothing!), comes with an optional battery pack (amazing!), a sufficiently long cord, a perfect travel bag, 4 bottles, and a mini cooler with ice pack. Having it so portable really makes the mental (and emotional) hurdle of traveling (to work, so see family, actually to go anywhere for more than 3 hours) so much more accessible. It makes you feel like you aren't chained to where your pump is.
Also, the box it came in was so cute as well, it had a bunch of pictures of moms and babies and it was really sweet.
Now onto the pump: I love the tubing. Instead of two cords to juggle and try to keep attached at both ends it is one cord that has a "y" into two as it goes into the flange. The flanges come apart and were muuuuch easier to clean (I really, really get tired of finding what brushes/toothpicks/sponges I can fit into the crevices of the flanges to clean them, so this was amazing to me).
The settings were great, I could increase or decrease the strength, but rarely need to change it. I like that it automatically goes from letdown into flow mode without having to push a button (but can bypass that anytime I want). I would get clogged ducts, some really bad, with my other pump, but have never had an issue with this one. Just one downside to this pump: I like the ability to see the flow from the nipple, but can't because the flanges are white instead of clear. It turned out to not be a big deal.
Another thing that I enjoyed with other pumps was the built in timer that this one does not have but again, not a big deal if it is more efficient!
Overall, this is an amazing pump and you can tell it has a lot of careful thought put into the design. It was (and is-I'm actually pumping as I type this) a lifesaver for me.

Nice improvement over original

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the original Medela Pump in Style for my first child and exclusively pumped so was very familiar with that pump. Below are my thoughts on the Pump in Style with Max Flow.
Pros:
-It’s much sleeker looking than the original. Not a reason to go out and buy a new pump, but I definitely liked the look a lot more.
-I think it got slightly more milk. It wasn’t a hugely noticeable difference for me, but even a tiny bit of an increase is a good thing.
-The parts were easy to clean, and I loved not dealing with the tiny parts of the original.
-The increased ability to change the settings was nice.

-The shape of the shields made them harder to get into my pumping bra.

-Similarly, I had a harder time seeing how full the bottles were getting as I pumped due to the nature of how the pump parts are made.

Feel pampered with this pump!

I’m a second time mom and loved my Medela Pump In Style Advanced with my first. I had planned to use it for my second, but was thrilled to have the opportunity to try the Max Flow version. It does not disappoint!
Pumping isn’t necessarily glamorous, but this new pump is! I love the light, sleek, clean look. The bright yellow accents are a huge improvement over the old mustard color. It is so much easier to wipe down and keep clean than the older version and the new setup of the tubing makes one sided pumping way more convenient! The bag is also awesome, I love that it’s not so big and bulky and since the pump is smaller, there is still plenty of room!
The pump settings are easy to use and I found pumping to be very comfortable. Since I’m primarily breastfeeding and just pumping excess, I can’t really comment on the claim that it pumps milk more efficiently and effectively, but it certainly did the job of removing milk to empty. I also love that this pump is a closed system so milk shouldn’t back up, which is an amazing feature!
The only drawback I found with this pump is that I found myself missing the clear connection pieces as they are solid white and gray. They are certainly fancier, but I found it harder to tell when I was done pumping because I couldn’t see if milk had stopped flowing through and instead had to try to watch if milk was dripping into the bottles from an odd angle.
I had a user error issue with my pump and ended up needing to call customer service. I cannot say enough good things about Medela and how much they care for moms. It feels good knowing that their agents care about their products and their customers! You can feel confident about purchasing this product both because the pump is great and because the company is top notch!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nursing Mom Must have!

Upon receiving the Medela Pump in Style Max Flow I was very excited. With my first baby I used the original pump in style so seeing all the updates made I was very impressed. The pump itself is sleek and compact. It also comes with everything a nursing mama needs to pump at home or on the go. Compared to my previous pump in style the pump got me an extra ounce of milk in less time. Every ounce as a breastfeeding mama is so precious! I like that it has basic settings that are easy to navigate. I had to play around a bit to find a comfortable setting, but once I found it pumping was effortless. The accessories are easy to clean and the closed system makes it feel very sanitary. I also apperciate the larger membranes which are easy to keep track of. My favorite feature of this pump was all of the on the go accessories and personal flex fit shields. This set makes it comfortable to pump and easy for busy mamas. The cooler and tote bag hold everything you need. Added bonus is there is a battery powered bank if you need to pump in the car or if you are not near an outlet. Medela has truly thought of it all with this pump. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for letting me test out the Pump in Style Max Flow.

I received this pump from Stellar Product Testing Panel for my honest review and feedback.
I enjoyed the compact size of this pump and thought that it was super easy to carry from my office to my pumping area. I also felt that the flanges were great and comfortable. I liked that they had flexible pieces around the edges, so it felt like it was cupping my breast. I also thought the pump was not loud or noisy that others could hear it behind a closed door. That was a relief. The tubing was long enough and the electrical cord was a good length. The parts weren't tiny so it wasn't difficult to clean and take apart all the pieces.
Now some of the things that I didn't like about this pump. I didn't like that I couldn't hand express my breast while using this pump. Anytime I've tried I felt like it broke the suction or made it less effective on pumping. I typically do this to help express more milk and felt like I couldn't do that with this pump. I also wish that this pump had a timer so I could know how long I was pumping at that session. The pump had bulky parts that made it difficult to store in the small storage bag.
Overall, the pump did the job but I don't think it was the best for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A great, easy to use breast pump!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am nursing and pumping for the second time. I love the pump in style with max flow. It is a simple and easy pump to use, which was one of my favorite things with my older pump in style. The pump it’s self is a great size and comes with everything you need for pumping and more. The flanges are definitely an upgrade. They fit great and felt like they stayed in place better than the older all plastic style. The PIS Max Flow is also easy to take on the go considering the compact and light weight design, however I do wish it had a internal chargeable battery which would be amazing especially considering the size and tote ability of the pump. I felt the pump did a great job expressing milk and the cleaning of the pump pieces after use was easy. I love that the system is closed preventing any milk getting into the tubing much more hygienic.
An added bonus is the ability to connect Dr. Brown bottles if you happen to express more than 5oz at a time. I received the Medela Pump in Style with Max Flow through the Stellar Product Testing Panel to try in exchange for my honest review and I would definitely recommend this breast pump to any of my mama friends. You can’t go wrong with the Medela Pump in Style with Max Flow!

Game changer

The pump in style with max flow is such a game changer for me. This is my third child and third time pumping and I am extremely thrilled and delighted with this pump. By the time I pick my mouth up from astonishment from how awesome and efficient the pump is I’m done pumping. I used the preset settings and the bigger of the two flange sizes included with the pump. I also love the battery operated adapter ( takes 8 AA) when pumping at work or away from home. This set includes a carrying case for bottles and an ice pack. I also use the included carry all bag (which is way smaller than my purse and diaper bag) for the supplies. As far as efficiency, this baby has lots of power with way less noise than my old pump. I also love the rubber around the flange which makes the suction and connection really comfortable. As I stated above, the power of this pump cuts my already quick pumping time by half. I think it’s safe to say I’m extremely happy. Did I also mention the size of the pump is so small it fits almost completely in one hand. It doesn’t take up much space at all so it can easily be left out for daily use or transported. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for letting me try this product.
