[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this monitor for my son's PC and the upgrade from 1080 75hz has made a huge difference for him. The specs on this monitor are fantastic, I'm most impressed with the brighness, colors and black quality and he is most impressed with 165hz as it has immensely smoothed out his experience in Apex Legends. Though he isn't using the stand that came with it I did use it for a couple days and it's nice quality, I didn't have any issues with it. For the price the HP X27q was an easy decision and would highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I play a lot of computer games -- I have spent nearly a thousand dollars on video cards, memory, processors and so on. I had used a competitors monitor for years, but it wasn't until I picked up an HP monitor last year that I appreciated what I had been missing. My previous monitor was a state of the art device with all of the bells and whistles, but compared to the X27q QHD, the difference in the colors are night and day. I can play games on full power and compared to some of my tvs (that look great), this monitor feels photo-realistic.
Another great quality is that I can control nearly all of the settings to adjust for night time vs day time play -- my eyes are much less red than they used to be after gaming for a few hours.
Finally, as a college student, if I'm not with friends or gaming, I'm in class. the HP X27q is just so pleasant to look at while writing papers --- never any eye strain which allows me to prolong my research and efforts.

Nice big screen, color is great. This monitor is exactly what I was looking for right down to the thin black border (nothing to distract from what is shown on the screen). My only big gripe is the online advertisement states: What's in the box-HDMI cable and also a Warranty card. Neither item was included in the box.

The monitor every one should have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this monitor has exceeded my expectations. The screen, with its 3.7 million pixels delivers a crisp and vivid picture. Set up was a breeze, which is always a welcome surprise. Additionally, the ability to adjust the height, tilt and angle of the monitor is an added benefit and adjusting the monitor was smooth and effortless for everyone that has tried it. The blue light reduction is particularly useful, and filters remarkably well. I tend to do a lot of gaming, and have not had the degree of eye strain or discomfort with this monitor that I had with my previous monitor. If you are not into gaming, this monitor is also great to use for surfing the internet or composing documents! If I had to find something to dislike, it would have to be the location of the monitor buttons. I have inadvertently hit buttons I did not intend to several times. I much prefer buttons on the bottomo of the monitor. Other than that, this monitor is an outstanding value and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone given its versatility.

Pleasantly Surprised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very pleasantly surprised by this monitor! For the price, I was expecting a decent monitor but not nearly the quality I received. First, I will say the packaging was of great quality. It wasn’t difficult to open but felt very secure. The instructions were easy to follow and set up was a breeze. It is super thin around the edges and looks very high end on my desk. I have used it both for grad school programming courses and some gaming and can say it is the best monitor I have ever owned. It quickly became my primary monitor and will has definitely exceeded my expectations!
