Good picture but poor wifi

The quality of the picture is good and the build quality is good but you need to have at least 50% on the wifi signal for the unit to be reliable. I use the unit outdoors and the wifi repeater was within 15M but the signal went down to 20% and this wasn’t enough for a stable picture. I had to buy an external high gain Wifi repeater to get the signal to about 50%. It really needs an external high gain antenna on the camera for external use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Wi-Fi range can be up to 65ft / 20m but the Wi-Fi signal can be reduced by many things around the home. Take into consideration the number of walls the Wi-Fi signal must pass through and their construction. The more solid the building material or the more metal the signal must pass through the more impact it has on the Wi-Fi signal. Also, take note of electrical equipment and other appliances that may affect the Wi-Fi signal. Some experimentation with locations may be required to get the optimal signal, check the signal strength in the app to give you a guide on the most suitable placement options. Since these cameras will operate over Wi-Fi, it is important that your camera be placed in an area where the connection is not likely to be interrupted. Please contact a member of our technical support team with your Internet upload and download speeds. This will help us troubleshoot and diagnose the issue is you are currently experiencing. It really is a great product and you can feel the quality and in the pictures it produces but couldn't give it no more than 3 stars because its impossible for me up to now to pay any type of subscription as the app isn't very helpful
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to set up and use

My wife and I bought this camera to use as a baby monitor and it is working well so far, streaming to the Swann app with minimal delay in the video/audio feed (although it takes a few seconds to initially connect). There is a longer delay if using the Google Home / Chromecast integration to stream video, but that is going through Google's servers as well. Very happy with the battery life and ease of installation.
I would recommend this to a friend!
