Completely useless!

Bought 2 cameras today. Wifi connection is terrible, even sitting next to the router. The motion detection doesn’t work. The cameras hardly connect to the app. You can’t hear the siren at all. Literally a complete waste of money - do not buy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

very poor motion detection

I have purchased 3 of the Xtreem WIFI cameras and have found that the motion detection to be a very poor quality. I have adjusted all settings, adjusted camera angles, cameras will not pick up motion even when walking directly in front of the cameras. Will not even pick up a vehicle moving in the driveway.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Your camera can detect the movement of a person up to 32ft / 10m from the camera when on the highest True Detect Motion Sensitivity settings. PIR sensors work optimally when the camera is mounted around looking down somewhat and the subject of detection passes across their front. The more the object must "cross" the front of the camera the better the detection reliability. When placing your camera try to avoid situations where the subject would move straight toward the camera if possible. Not fit for purpose

Have had 3x cameras around our property for the past several months for added security, although these cameras provide little more than a visual deterrent. Poor connectivity results in frequent drop outs, with refresh taking considerable time, even immediately after receiving push notifications. Battery life is average at best, on medium quality recording. Have invested hundreds extra in wifi extenders to try to address the above but this has offered no improvement. There are much better options available at a similar price point

I think these cameras are a joke, won’t re ord more than 60sec. I’ve rang several times for support with no one being able to help. I don’t recommend them.

Please know once an event is triggered, the camera can record up to 60 seconds, depending on motion. In the event that there are still movements that are significant enough for the sensitivity level set, the camera will record to a new clip. For real-time assistance, we recommend calling our phone support hotline at your earliest convenience. Please check the numbers below.
The camera video is good, haven't had it long enough to rate battery usage. BUT if you expect quality motion sensing this thing is rubbish. May work 1 out of 4 times but usually the video is of nothing as the trigger subject has gone by the time it wakes up. It drops off the wifi and I have a great Mesh system with no signal issues. Very disappointed. App is average.

Good camera quality, but it has security flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this camera installed for about a week, and while it has a good app and video quality, I think it has a few security flaws that let it down.
On the camera itself, the video quality was good – I found from some tests that I could make out faces fairly clearly, and number plates were pretty straightforward to read, so it functions well in that aspect. The setup process was also very easy and the app is quite pleasant to use. The battery life of the wireless unit was also very impressive – up to 6 months and then it simply charges via USB.
On to the flaws – firstly, the camera operates off of wifi, so you need to be sure that the camera sits in comfortable range of your router if you want cloud storage and to use the app. This limited placement options somewhat as I wanted it to cover my garage door, but my wifi signal doesn't reach to that position. Secondly, the base of the camera screws securely to the wall, however the camera itself just attaches to the base via a magnet, meaning a thief could just pull it down and destroy or steal it. This seemed a bit of a bizarre design choice to me for a security camera. If you can't use the cloud function because of wifi signal, or you're unlucky enough to be burgled during an internet outage, all your footage is saved on the SD card stored inside the camera itself. Realistically this is an unlikely scenario, but the design just feels unnecessarily easy to sabotage to me.
As good as the camera quality and app were, the outlying security issues made it difficult to outright recommend this camera. However, if you're in a bind and can't use anything requiring wires, the camera itself is a solid performer.

too slow to start recording

motion detection has such a lag before recording starts that the playback clip is usually empty as the subject has already moved out of frame. This is despite maximum sensitivity setting

Not worth buying.

I he'd off on writing a review until I had several months of time to spend trying to get this to work. At first it seemed ok. Although it would frequently disconnect from the router that is only 10 feet away. And as others have said, it takes a few seconds for it to start recording when a vehicle drives by or someone walks by. However the biggest issue I have with it is that rain, snow, and falling leaves all cause it to record, no matter what level of sensitivity I set it to. This causes it to record constantly and run the batteries down fast. As well as sending constant false alarms. I can walk by it and it will only come on half the time, but snow makes it run constantly. I've tried moving it, changing settings, bought a different router to keep it connected, it doesn't matter. This camera is worthless as a security device
