Excellent vacuum, good for people with allergies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised how quiet this vacuum was when I first turned it on. The configuration of the unit itself is good for being able to detach the beater head from the hose for steps and cobwebs but it's not great because you're always yanking the body of the unit around the floor. I have a tendency to hit the legs and bottoms of my furniture with the body of the unit. I'm not sure I would get this vacuum again only if for that. There are 3 different filters in the unit which I think would be good for people with allergies.

This vacuum is light,powerful, easy to use and it folds for storage. I judge a vacuum by how much pet hair and litter it picks up on a variety of flooring. Shark® Vertex™ Bagless Corded Canister Vacuum with DuoClean® PowerFin works on my wood floors easily as it foes on my tile and rugs. I am so impressed with the ease of changing the floor type and suction. Press of a button is all it takes. Using the tools are easy with a button press and attach the tool needed for the job. When you're finished tap the cord button and it reminds easily no winding needed. Emptying the canister is fast as well as cleaning the filters.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Shark Vertex Bagless Corded Canister Vacuum with DuoClean PowerFins is awesome. I love this vacuum so much the Canister holds a lot of dirt easy to clean. Also like the self cleaning it helps a lot less cleaning the heads of the vacuum. The power fins on this vacuum picks up everything I love it so much. Great vacuum for anyone you won't go wrong buying this vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this vacuum. The vacuum does a great job, I’m very happy with the results I’m seeing. I had a canister years ago and was pleased to see them again. This vacuum looks very chic.
The vacuum was easy for me to put together and in minutes. The vacuum is easy to maneuver with the four wheels independent it just follows me around. The suction is very good and has three different setting, along with hard floor and carpet.
I love that the handle is flexible to get under furniture etc. and the on board tools is good for upholstery and drapery. I’ve also noticed that the vacuum is quieter than my old one and the 25’ cord gives a long reach. With the cord being retractable, which I love, I don’t have to wind it around some hooks, just press the button done.
The handle controls is lighted and a breeze to switch between actions and the head is lighted too. We have a long haired dog and the vacuum does a wonderful job without any problems. The three filters are washable and the bins has a button for easily emptying. I’ve learned over the years that canister vacuums do a better job at cleaning and I find with the options on this canister I can clean the house with ease. The filters

Very powerful vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit I was a bit intimidated by it when I first saw it. Today's vacuum cleaners are a lot fancier and smarter than they were 10 years ago. This Shark vacuum has a dual brushroll system, which helps clean faster. It took me just a few minutes to clean a big area rug. You can see the before and after photos and that small area took just less than a minute.
At first, I thought it was too complicated, too heavy, too difficult to maneuver. Give it some time to get adjusted to it and you'll fall in love with it. I didn't figure everything out in the first minutes and the instructions weren't the most helpful to me.
Assembling it was pretty easy. There are basically 4 pieces that need to be connected. The LED display allows you to select surface type and speed. I started with a lower speed, but for picking up cat hair off the rug, I had to go with the highest speed. The vacuum isn't very loud at the lowest speed, but it gets a little louder when increasing the speed.
The LED headlights are annoying if someone else is vacuuming and you're staring at the device, but otherwise, when you're the one doing the job, it helps a lot to make sure you don't miss anything and don't leave any dirt behind.
The main cleaning brush swings left and right and it takes a bit to get used to that as it almost feels like it's moving on its own and you don't have much control over it. Once you figure out how to guide it, you'll get to appreciate how useful this feature is.
There are several accessories available for this Shark Vertex. Mine came with a crevice tool, which is very handy when it comes to picking up cobwebs from the ceiling and corners and an upholstery tool.
The maintenance of the device does take a bit of work compared to a basic vacuum, as you have to empty the dust cup, clean the cyclone, clean the soft roller and also clean the filters every 3 months.

So much power, so easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in need of a powerful, but versatile vacuum for my studio space, and owning other Sharks and being satisfied with them, I didn’t hesitate to pick up the Shark® Vertex™ Bagless Corded Canister Vacuum with DuoClean® PowerFins. Let me tell you, this thing is a powerful, quiet, and versatile absolute workhorse that I love to use.
First thing first, when I received this in the mail, it felt so heavy in the box. I was nervous that it would be too much for me, but the great news is, the box itself is very heavy, which both insured that the vacuum arrived in pristine condition, but too, relieved me because the vacuum itself is very light for its bulk.
And this vacuum is bulky compared to my other Shark vacuums…but this one is by far the most powerful. And because it can be either held in the ergonomic handhold, or be turned horizontally and pulled along behind you, it isn’t difficult to maneuver. The wheels spin freely, and keeps this thing tagging right along like a well trained pet.
The handle has glowing buttons that allow you to 1, turn on/off, 2 choose floor type, and 3 select the power. The latter of these is the only one I’m not crazy about, as I’m not sure when I would choose power that is less that it’s most robust, but perhaps there is a situation I’d want to dial it back, and certainly the option would come in handy then.
Removing the vacuum head and attaching one of the two included alternate heads (a brush for dusting, and a wand for tight or high places), is very easy, and all the connections seem very sturdy. Too, it’s as simple as flipping a mechanical switch to allow the arm of the vacuum to bend at its elbow so as to reach under couches, chairs, and tables without having to crouch or get on your knees.
Everything is intuitively built, so I didn’t really need to look at the instructions to perform any of the basic tasks, including removing the debris receptacle and finding the hinge that releases the bottom to empty it into a trash can. The booklet is important for things like changing and cleaning the various filters, though I haven’t needed to do that yet.
The cord is quite long, and it pulls out easily, and will retract at the press of a very large button on the canister. The retraction is smooth and works well, provided the cord isn’t tangled. I usually take the cord in my hand as I press the button and help feed it smoothly. It is recessed into the bottom of the canister so it doesn’t get in the way if you store it upright.
Judging by my other Shark products that are all still working as good as new, I have no doubt that this will be my vacuum for a very long time. There are no triggers that you must keep depressed, so it isn’t hard on fingers or hands, and the all the parts are thick and well crafted. Too, it has a fun, retro vibe to it, and the canister holds much more space, so I don’t have to dump it near as often as my smaller Shark models.
Anyway, all that to say, this s a great vacuum. I don’t know if I’ve adequately said how powerful it is, but it has amazing suction, doesn’t get tangled with hair, and too, it isn’t very loud, especially considering how strong it is. I am very, very happy with this product, and am excited to see what Shark comes up with next!

Pleasantly Surprised!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised by this vacuum. I compared it to my powerful upright on low profile carpets and it faired rather well. The controls and accessories are conveniently located near the handle and the controls were easy to use with your thumb. The flexible wand makes cleaning under low furniture easier to vacuum under without bending over too much and it also allowed for me to store it in a low profile area in my closet. It's very easy to move around with from room to room and my favorite part is how lightweight the canister is. I was able to carry it up two sets of stairs without issue. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this vacuum.
