I love this vacuum!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is the best I’ve ever owned. Like all Shark products, this vacuum has innovative features that you won’t find in other brands. The wand has a multi flex feature that bends like an arm, allowing you to easily get under furniture if you need to. This has a couple attachments that are helpful for upholstery, or hard to reach cracks and crevices. The PowerFin roller is unmatched in performance for picking up hair. I have long dark hair and 3 dogs, and I have yet to find hair tangled in the roller. The power cord is a little shorter than I would like, but it’s not a deal-breaker. The bagless tank holds plenty and is very easy to empty. My very favorite part of this vacuum is the electronic controller at the handle. You can turn the vacuum on and off, toggle between low and high pile carpets, and there’s even three suction levels you can adjust! As an added bonus, this is lightweight, maneuvers like warm butter, and is pretty to look at.

I bought this canister vacuum last week. Its cleaning power is tremendous. It is lightweight and has many benefits over an upright. You can choose on the handle three levels of power and carpet or floor modes. You do have to “tame” the floor motor as it is powerful, but still manageable. I like the fact one can easily deep clean under beds and other hard to reach places. I was unable to do that with my upright. When I first used the canister vacuum, I was amazed how much dirt and lint it picked up from what my upright had already thoroughly cleaned. I have only had this vacuum a week. I hope it holds up as well as my 14-year-old Shark Navigator. I bought many accessories and am able to use my Navigator accessories too. I was disappointed in two things: 1. Even though I have thoroughly washed and dried the dust bin, there still is constant dust on the outside of the dust bin from usage. 2. There were only two accessories provided: a small brush attachment and a small crevice tool attachment. For the hefty price paid, there should have been a long crevice tool provided. Fortunately, I can use the long crevice tool from my old Navigator.

I love Shark products, and I love many features of this vacuum, but overall I just like it. Its best features are the bagless collection container, its foldable wand, buttons (power, floor adjustments) on the handle, and its retractable cord. Because the wand folds, I can easily store this unit in the closet. However, the plastic used in the construction of the vacuum feels cheap to me - not worth the premium price paid for the vacuum.

Game changer!

Okay I have literally been vacuuming the last 4 hours with 3 dogs shedding and the Kirby not doing its job correctly the house was bad! I literally vacuumed everything I could. 1st the Couch 5stars the attachments and easy amazing!
2nd the stairs again 5stars the way you can use the vacuum head while Removing the center polls making it short was a game changer! I then vacuumed my bed before adding the poll back!
Then I went to the floors. I love how it goes from carpet to hard floors with the touch of a button and the way the long poll has the under furniture button that folds the poll the opposite direction, again game changer! I loved not having to get on my hands and knees to vacuum the dog hair trapped under the different furniture pieces! The soft bristles on the vacuum head didn't clog one time from the dog hair so it's came to self clean the rolling bristles is legit! Now here is the parts I didn't like, on carpet it has where you can change to suction power, that I like however everytime you stop it to pick something up on move something and start it back you have to reset everything. The attachments attach to the long post in one spot and it gets in the way in my opinion i would like them better in a lower position away from the handle but that prevents the under furniture function. I had to empty the tank 3 times so I would like a larger dirt tank. Overall I would say if your house is like mine and more hardwoods and tile flooring than carpet I say. 5 stars overall and do it!
If your home is mostly carpet and not much hardwoods or tiles I would say the Shark upright vacuums would be better for you!

I have been using sharks for the past 10 - 12 yrs now. I still have my original one I bought which was the shark rotator with the caddy turning it from upright to canister. We have always had 4-5 big dogs and a Himalayan cat. All long haired dogs from golden retrievers to Berne's mountain dogs and had a dycon that didn’t even pick all that hair up. That is what led me to try the shark and I was sold every since. Then I got the stick for when I’m in a hurry and want a quick vacuuming and decided to really invest and I love my canisters. I have both hard wood floors and carpet so need it to do both very very well. This is my 3rd and I absolutely love it. Worth every penny. It has suction like no other, the cup holds a lot of hair and dirt, I can do the stairs which has carpet on them, the hose is plenty long enough and the canister doesn’t flip over and cleans up easily. I’ll never get another kind of vacuum again.

Was a little nervous going from an upright to a canister but I am in love! Feels like an upright but is very light and the canister tracks behind you well. Love the 3 speeds, carpet or hardwood settings, rotating head at any speed and quiet sound. Love that you can turn it on on the canister and then run it with the handle from then on as there is a power button with all the other settings at your fingertips. Sweeper part even stands on its own....takes up very little space in the closet when you stand up the canister. Great suction and easy empty....attachments are on the sweeper....no looking for them. I really don't have any cons!

I have gone through so many different vacuums trying to find one that actually works on pet hair. After reading literally hundreds of reviews I chose the Shark® Vertex™ Bagless Corded Canister Vacuum with DuoClean® PowerFins. This thing is AMAZING! There are so many awesome features like the controls perfectly located on the handle that allow you to instantly switch between hard floors and carpet as well as adjust the 3 different power modes. The design and location of the bin is great as well and emptying it is a breeze. It is literally worth every cent!
