Great device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ring alarm pro base station is a one stop shop device. It keeps our alarm system and ring devices connected to our phones. The base station gives us alerts if activity is happening in our home. This was a great upgrade to our alarm system and we love that there is a wi-fi router included in the device. We love that this works with our ring doorbell as well. This really is a great device that helps keep us secure. I would highly recommend it.

Great for the expanding the home security

Have just been operating with a ring door bell for a while now and decided to add a few more things. It's simple to setup and connect to other devices. I like that it is so customizable, add a little here then add something else and the home base keeps it all in order. Nice little base.

Expand your security

Has some good potential

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first got this, based on the description I thought I was getting an 8 pc security kit. This is actually just the base unit, so you will need to have other Ring devices to connect into.
At the moment I only have 1 other Ring device so I feel right now, the base unit may be more than what I need, but I am glad I got it since I do plan to expand my home security.
Setup was OK. It was easy to connect but I wasn't quite sure how to handle the connection to my mesh network. This kind of runs on its own network and could probably replace my mesh but at this point I won't do that and have it run separately. I did have to download 2 apps for it, the Ring and Eero apps, it would be nice if it was just all in one. Since I did have a camera already, I had to go online to figure out how to switch networks for it. Once I found it, it was pretty simple to switch. Having this in the directions would have been a time saver.
I do like that you can manage the security system manually and it doesn't require a service. Also, it seems like you can have it save recordings if you use a micro SD card which isn't included. At the time of getting the unit I wasn't aware this was needed or I would have tried that out and gave my thoughts on it.
This unit has a lot of potential and seems to be pretty flexible. If you are not techy, I can see you having some issues along the way during setup, so call your family IT person for the initial help.
So far I'd recommend it, I'm going to grab a few new devices to connect and an SD card and build out my home security a bit more. Seems like a solid product.

Great device with a lot of features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a current Ring user, set-up was a breeze. The app walks you through the set-up/installation process with no issues. I wasn't sure how this would work as I wanted to use my current modem/router, but it was not a problem at all. From opening the box to it being completely installed was about 15 minutes (just the base unit, adding sensors takes additional time but is also easy!). My only complaint is that the alarm tone is not extremely loud. My internet enters my house in the basement, which limits where I could install this unit. When triggered it can be heard on the main level, but not at all on the 2nd story (2 floors up from the unit). I like that it will alert me when it is triggered, but it probably won't do much to alerting the neighbors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ring Alarm Pro Base Station doubles as a Wifi Router with speeds up to 900 mbs and offers 24/7 internet backup. It is easy to add to the Ring app. I like the look of the base station with the blue light. To use it as an alarm there are several add-on devices such as door/window sensors and a keypad available. There is an optional professional monitoring subscription.

Great for DYI security

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Alarm pro base is the heart of your Ring security devices. So if you want to secure your home without paying exorbitant amount this is for you. Install was not as smoothly as my older system, but once set up good to go. The only reason I gave 4 stars because I did not like hooking up to my Amazon account. Definitely a privacy and security issue. The base has a built in eero Wi-Fi 6 router so you no longer need your
router. Of course for 24/7 back up you need the ring protect pro subscription, but so Does it’s competitor’s

Ring base station

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just installed my new Ring Alarm Pro Base Station and the built in Eero Wi-Fi 6 router is very fast. I already had a Ring account, so the installation was fairly straightforward once I set up the Eero application and created an account to manage the router and Wi-Fi network. The base station also has an option for adding a subscription to provide 24/7 backup internet in the event of a power failure. The Alarm Pro Base Station integrated well with my existing Ring wired camera and flood light devices. I’m looking forward to adding some window and motion sensors to complete my home alarm system in the near future.
