First Glass Cooktop

I picked the GE Double Oven JBS86SPSS over the LG cause of the reviews and long research thru a leading Consumer magazine. Going from an electric coil range to a glass cook top is a learning experience to me. #1 I don't like it that the whole glass top gets hot using one burner and using the top of the double oven with all the burners off the glass top gets hot, my older coil range didn't do that. The controls are complicated setting the timer I can't stop it before it times out and when the timer ends it shuts off the oven. I just have to learn better next time. I do like how the display gives the countdown temp as it preheats , I only just got it and I have to learn and get used to it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This range is amazing! I've owned ceramic stove tops before, and they never seemed to heat up as quickly as the old electric coil top. The induction stove on this range is heats up as fast as gas! I love it. The double oven makes it easy to cook two or more items at different temperatures. I don't think I can ever go back to a single oven again.

Double Oven Range

this is a good range for the money. The ovens work as they should heating to the proper temperature. I like the options of the burners depending on the size of pan you are using. I don't like the glass top, hard to clean and scratches easy, and I'm super careful with the pots and pans. I had a Maytag double oven a few years back and that glass top was difficult to clean too.

Excited to have installed

My wife is excited to have this model AGAIN. Our old unit was about 12 years old. She would only accept this model because of the double oven feature. It has worked great in the past when cooking holiday meals. Having 2 ovens with different temps makes it so much easier. Looking forward to many years of use!!!
