ovens not great

It looks nice but both ovens are really slow to heat up, whether using convection or regular oven feature, and when they finally do, the temperature is off (cooler) by about 25 degrees or more in both ovens, even after allowing them to heat up for a while. There is supposed to be some way to calibrate it myself which I will do, but 25 degrees is a big difference and makes me nervous about baking cakes, cookies, etc, where the temperature needs to be accurate. Pretty disappointing considering this was one of the more expensive options. On the plus side, it definitely looks better than our old range, and the stovetop works well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Your new oven most likely has a different cooking system from your old oven and may cook differently than your old oven. For the first few uses, we recommend following the recipe times and temperatures carefully. If you still think your new oven is too cold, you can adjust the temperature; this adjustment will affect “Bake” and “Convection Bake” temperatures. For more information on how to adjust the temperature, please refer to page 10 of your unit’s “Use and Care Manual” which can be found here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF

there is an Important feature missing!

I like the look of this double oven, and the performance from baking, air frying to convection, broiling to the top radiant elements all work well. The glass top does not seem as durable as my last one, it seems to scratch very easy. I started using this stove top on August 19th, 18 days ago, and I am very gentle with the glass top, but there are already 2 small scratches on it.The steam cleaning feature is nice if your into cleaning the oven every time you use it. I read through the manual before buying this range and was pleased with all I read. The problem is that there is no lock for the steam cleaning mode, The manual says "press the steam clean pad, press start and the oven door will lock" There is no lock on this model, I called GE and was told it is not necessary for a lock on the steam clean mode. (Then it should not be in the manual). That is the reason I am giving 3 stars if you want your oven to lock as advertised...Do not purchase this model. Those are the only complaints I have so far. it is a good looking oven but I would have been a lot happier if it had a lock as the manual said. There is a small square on the front of glass top that tells you ( Hot Cook top) if any burner is hot which is a nice touch. 2 stars removed for missing lock, and the crappy line from customer service "It is not necessary for the steam cleaning mode to be locked" If that is the case it is necessary to take it out of your manual. very disappointed loyal customer. I was in the process of replacing my appliances with GE.

As for Steam Clean, it’s a terrific and easy to run cycle that heats a small amount of water briefly to create steam. The moisture from the steam makes food easier to clean off the oven walls. In the past, we had the door automatically lock so that you didn't release the steam too soon. To give our owners more control, we don't have it automatically lock during Steam Clean. We're sorry that the manual still says that it will lock, since this can be confusing. We'll have the manuals updates going forward.

I’m very happy with the design and look of my new oven/range.
It’s taking a little getting used to the fact that you sacrifice the storage below on most ovens
I’m totally willing to find new places to keep my stuff in order to have 2 ovens.
Only one problem, not for people with bad backs.

Very pleased so far. When our old stove quit, I did a quick review search and found this model series at the top. The wife and I looked at the single oven and double oven side by side in the store and decided to go for the double oven with convection and air fry. Still trying to work out the temps for the air frier as it needs to be a little higher than the recipes call for with the small counter top versions. But all in all we are like the features and are pleased with the performance.

GE Double Oven with Air Fryer

I've been waiting three years for a new stove. I didn't want just any new one, I wanted a double oven. I'd had one before several years ago and loved it. This particular one is extra special because it has an air fryer option. BONUS! The burners on top are better than any I have had before, plus I love love love the glass top.
