With the right Hot Wheels cars, a total blast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This track is a lot of fun and cars can really take off, but only certain Hot Wheels cars. The "launcher" where you tuck the car in and hit the handle leaves a lot to be desired because it hardly does any actual launching.
The set up was easy and the pieces are well made and of high quality. With the right car, or the car it came with it really is a lot of fun. The speed the cars pick up on is really awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves it! He connected it to one of his other Hot wheels track and play for hours on end! The loop is super fast and cars go round and round for several laps before loosing speed. My son loves to add multiple cars and have them race.

Having fun with the Track

Can't take apart

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We initially thought that this looked neat and was a reasonable size until we opened the box and put it together. It was packed very well and it seemed like we were going to be able to store it in the box, but boy, we were wrong! Assembly takes 10-15 minutes if you follow the instructions - they really got it right - every piece has a letter on each side and you just have to match up the letters. That said, once its put together, its absolutely huge - 2' 8" tall - and there's no way to take it apart without ruining the connections. We got a few of the smaller pieces off, but the plastic was white from the stress and we couldn't get the main loop apart at all. Without all the pieces and supports, it won't stand on its own so its going to have to be stored completely together, which takes up 2 x 3 feet of floor/shelf space. Had I known that, I would not have brought this behemoth into our house. The play value is pretty limited; my 5, 7, and 9 year old were initially mesmerized by the way it just kept going on its own, but it soon lost its appeal. The idea is they put extra cars in on the side tracks to try to crash with the main car on the motorized loop; the problem is once they crash, they have to crawl around the whole thing to get the cars and do it again. Its problematic because other than the car that comes with it, there's only a few others that we own that are balanced enough to stay on this track setup; we went through hundreds of cars to find three that would run on the track. It might be a bigger hit with younger kids who can't manage manual car launchers themselves and don't have a parent to help, but then it probably too dangerous to leave them alone with it. The motor runs ultra fast and could be a real safety issue if you got a finger or hair stuck in it - I make my girls put in ponytails and buns before they use it. Also, we learned through a lengthy process of trial and error that you need four fresh D batteries or the cars won't complete the loop; its made it about 20 minutes so far, but I can't imagine you'd get more than an hour of playtime before you started having problems. Wish they would have just made it so you could use an AC adaptor - the set is so big, its not like you're going to take it traveling anywhere.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fun for the whole family!

We love seeing how many cars we can get going at once. My son thinks is great seeing which of his cars will go the fastest. Wonderful purchase for kids of all ages.

Great track!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My six year old loved this- he loves racing the cars on the track and seeing how fast they go. It can be noisy and make sure you have batteries. But my son had fun for a while with it. He wants to get more tracks to go along with all the other sets

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is so fun! My son can play with this loop for hours on end. He hooks it up to all his other hot wheels. The automatic features add excitement to this loop. He can’t get enough. The only downside is that the D batteries were a bit hard to find in my area, but nonetheless we found some and got it running.

Great fun for my boys!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great toy my boys have had a lot of fun launching cars to go around the loop de loop. It took a bit of time to put together but the instructions were straight forward. I wish it took AA or AAA batteries because C and D batteries are expensive and not very many things use them anymore. Despite that it has kept my boys busy off and on for several days now.
