this has been a nightmare.. the tv continues to buffer and black out. ... what a shame!! i ordered the 55 frame.
i will not recommend.

Thank you for purchasing The Frame TV and for your review. I am very sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your screen randomly going blank. There are a number of reasons this may be happening.

• Cable connection problem: Your Samsung Smart TV is likely to have a black screen issue due to the cable connection problem. Loose connections, damaged cables or inactive power sources are the probable cause of the problem on your TV.

• Sources issue: Moreover, the issue could be caused by the problems associated with the sources such as DVD player, cable box or other external sources. To find out whether the problem is with the sources, press the Menu button on your remote. If the menu appears on the screen of your TV, then the problem is with the sources.

• Inputs setting problem: The black screen issue could be due to the inputs setting problem. Your TV might be set on a wrong input. Ensure that your TV is set to the correct input to avoid this issue.

• Firmware update issue: Your TV screen might be having a black display due to the obsolete firmware. The firmware, therefore, needs to be updated to solve this issue.

• Sleep timer/power saver mode: In cases where your TV randomly goes black, the issue could be due to the sleep timer or energy-saving mode being on. Consider turning them off to see whether the problem is solved. (30 minute intervals)

• Hardware failure: Also, your TV might be displaying a black screen due to the hardware failure. This could be a faulty circuit board, faulty TV panel or faulty LED on TV. For this case, you will need to seek for professional service to have your TV fixed.

Simple Install, Great Features and Picture

We added a 55" frame in our dining area and it made a huge difference in the room. The artwork looks amazing and we can use the tv for news in the mornings. The integration with ring is also super cool. The rotating artwork with the turn on sensor is worth the price of admission.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WOW! what an amazing tv. We got this TV to go above our fireplace in our new home and are completely amazed by it. The picture is so clear and perfect and looks great in our new living room. I love how the TV lays flat against the wall which makes it look even more sleek above the fireplace. Having the picture adds to the WOW factor of our living room and we get so many compliments on our TV. The smart apps are wonderful and I love that I can control it from my phone! It was tough at first to install since there are 2 brackets, but with a little help from my dad we were able to complete it. I do wish the sound was louder from the tv. We are extremely happy with this purchase !

Poor performance in portrait mode

based upon the advertising on the 2021 model viewing in portrait mode is misleading and has been a disappointment. the frame tv has limited abilities in portrait mode to view tv or use as a monitor in full view portrait mode and is not diclosed in any information provided by samsung of its limited screen size until you set it up and realize that frame tv is an inferior product than described by the manufacturer.

TV is great but missing pieces.

the samsung frame tv is great but the box was missing pieces for the flush wall mount. i have had numerous calls with support and close to 5 months later i still can't hang the tv on the wall because i'm missing a complete wall mount.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

pros
i have paired my tv with samsung q800a soundbar and it works perfectly well. one thing to note here is that this tv does not support q-symphony you cant really get the tv+soundbar through earc however tv+soundbar works for me on wifi mode. having said that you would not be able to enjoy dolby atmos, dolby digital plus audio formats using wifi.
cons
the frame does not support dolby vision or dts:x which is a big drawback. even samsung q series soundbars support dolby vision passthrough and dts:x audio.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice TV when it works

bought the 50" frame and have had it less than a week. it's a nice tv- when it works. ours constantly turns on and off by itself while in the middle of watching something. samsung is sending someone to come fix it, but for an expensive tv that is brand new, seems like it shouldn't need to be fixed. i'm worried that we're going to be stuck with a lemon that will continually need fixing, which won't always be free of charge.

i love the concept of this tv. it has a great picture and looks nice and flat up on the wall. xbox x games look great. however, i'm running the latest firmware: 1904 and i have hdmi arc out to my onkyo home theater receiver, i'm sad to say that the audio randomly goes out for a few seconds and then pops back on. this occurs regardless of the source, samsung tv, netflix, xbox x in game hdmi port. i search and apparently others have complained of the same issue. i really wished samsung would fix this issue. i would give it 5 stars if not for this annoying issue.
