We love our new Frame TV.

More than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a TV in the living room that is being renovated but the wife did not. We comprised and got this and I am very happy with the purchase. The video quality is good and the sound quality is what you’d expect from any flat screen (I.e. plan on adding a sound bar or sound system for theater experience). I already have another set up for that in another room so this really fit what we were looking. The bracket set up was easy but it didn’t leave much room for error relative to other mounting systems. The remote control is a real winner as it is attractive and neatly arranged so that it’s intuitive to use. We also purchased artwork from another online art store and added it to our art collection, which really looked great! Unfortunately the biggest challenge was using the app SmartThings app to set up the TV. Once I got the apps logged in, I was able to easily watch Netflix, Disney + and Hulu without issue.

Solved my upgrade problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 55 inch Samsung Frame, replaced an older 50 inch plasma TV, that was mounted above my fireplace in a recessed space. Pulling multiple cables and power cords would have been very difficult. The single fiber optic cable with power supply was relatively easy to pull through the wall. I opted to use a standard mobile mounting system, rather that the supplied hanging bracket as this unit would not have to look like a hung picture. Set up was relatively easy. Only significant issue was the TV sound cutting off frequently. This seems to be a Samsung software glitch that needs to be solved and has been experienced by many users. Since I used a optical sound cable from the Frame receiver to my Home theater receiver, this is no longer an issue. Picture quality is an amazing step up from my old 720p Plasma TV!! Picture library (subscription) is very robust and a very nice feature when not watching TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product has a usable interface and is visually pleasant. The remote is somewhat frustrating to work with sometimes. The usability of the remote is less friendly than I would like. I would appreciate the tv having more memory over where I last left the channels because it sometimes doesn’t remember.

To assist you in learning the various functions and settings of your new Solar Cell remote, you can download the Solar Cell Remote Guide directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “TVs”. From there, you can select The Frame TV under "Lifestyle TVs” > “A Model Lineup" and download the guides you would like. The e-Manual is also embedded into the TV itself under Settings > Support > Open e-Manual.

EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED

I initially let the salesperson convict me to go with the LG Gallery because of the picture but I was so disappointed with the interface and the gallery options (Can't easily load your own pictures and have as a screen saver). The One Connect is an amazing addition and makes it so easy to display the frame without wires and the blue seamlessly connects to our surround sound. 5/5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best TV ! I have it over my fireplace. I love that is can display artwork when it’s not being used as a TV. You can even select a colored matte just like for real painting. It saves energy by automatically turning off when you leave the room the comes back on when you enter. You can also download your own pics to display. Great for special events. It fits very flush with the wall thanks to this One Connect box. Everything plugs into the box rather than the back of the TV. The box can be up to 16 feet away in a cupboard!! No more needing to pull the TV off the wall to connect devices. I thought of adding a sound bar but the sound is fantastic- no need. I’m now planning to get The Frame TV for my bedroom. Love this product.

Art or TV…you choose!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The art feature is great! It really looks beautiful and adjusts to the light of the room. I am still learning about the pieces but it offers some for free and then you need a monthly subscription to access others. I want to learn more about this feature and if you can use jpegs from elsewhere. The TV is thin and has a rack that places it directly on the wall. This is ideal! My only drawback so far is the frame was not cheap and it only looks so-so. It would be better for that price to get one from the art gallery I get my frames done at. Overall it has a lot of bells and whistles and will be fun to explore all of the options!
