Perfect for what we wanted!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just bought our first house and my wife did not want a huge, obnoxious TV that took the focus away from the fireplace in our new living room or bar / hangout area in the attached kitchen. I wanted a big TV that we could occasionally relax and watch family movies on with a fire going. The Frame is perfect for us!! When it is not in use, it looks like a framed piece of art and we have a nice peaceful living room with art + a fireplace. None of our friends even realize it is a TV until we tell them!
It only has a single ultra-thin cable that attaches to a discreet black box (the Samsung One Connect) on a bookshelf away from the TV. It connects to all TV/movie Apps and to our cable TV (via our cable provider's App) via Wifi. So, there are no messy cables to hide or fuss with.
Whenever we want to watch a movie, we flip one on and it integrates easily & flawlessly with our new soundbar (we went with the Samsung HW-Q950T). My daughters love it too and now are always hanging out in our family room instead of down in the basement, as they did with our old house/TV setup. Great picture, great sound, and a great product! Very happy with our purchase.

Can’t Upload Your Own Photos

in order to view your own photos in art mode you need to upload them via the samsung smart things app which is notoriously unreliable and basically unsupported by samsung. after working for a week it sarted saying the frame tv was offline (it wasn’t) and it hasn’t connected fir months now. looking online it seems every other sansung user has the same issue but samsung still hasnt fixed. so dont plan on viewing your own photos on it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your user experience with uploading your personal photos in Art Mode. Please know that you can upload your personal photos from a phone via SmartThings app or from an external storage device.

Here are the steps for importing from an external storage device:
1) Connect an external storage device that contains images to the TV.
2) Use the directional buttons on the remote control to move to My Collection, and then move to the connected external storage device.
3) Use the directional buttons on the remote control to move to an image, and then press the Select button. You can select multiple images.
4) Use the directional buttons on the remote control to move to Save to My Photos at the bottom of the screen, and then press the Select button.
5) The selected image or images are saved in My Photos.
