whenever i purchase a tv i always strive to purchase the biggest and the best that will allow for my living room size. i chose the 65 inch qn90a samsung neo qled 4k smart tv in 2021 and i could not be happier! this beautiful tv blows me away every time i watch it from the depth of the colors and clarity it’s just so beautiful i can’t take my eyes off of viewing. this tv has opened up my avenue of seeing things that are exemplary, outstanding and amazing. this tv will graduate to my bedroom, and hope to purchase a new one in a 75 inch someday for my living room. if you were on the fence about this tv just get it because you will be stunned!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great if you want a 65" prism in your living room.

i was very excited about this tv. i am 100% in the samsung ecosphere, samsung phones, 2 frame tvs and i love the ease of the samsung setup, and how my phones interact with the tv.
this tv when running is ok. it's incredibly harsh with bloom on almost any setting, but that isn't the biggest issue. the biggest issue is that the tv appears like a giant prism in my living room during the day while running dark scenes. you can tell by the reflections the panel is distorted is some way and there is a large light wavy distortion running diagonally across the screen. i have never seen a panel this bad.
i'd give this panel 0 stars if i could. i have been really happy with my frame tvs, so i will probably downgrade to the 65" frame.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i wish i wouldn't have upgraded from my 2019 q80r. don't get me wrong, the tv has some strengths like the new game mode, but for movies i feel an insane amount of buyers remorse. i'm a cinematographer and colorist that has exclusively backed samsung for the last decade. the 2019 set has a far superior image to the 2021. the shadows on the 2021 are better, but the skin tone highlights introduce appalling false color and contrast shortcomings. the skin tone highlights have a strange blue/orange shift. the contrast in these highlights fall short of the hdr capabilities of the television and look horrendous. i'm watching films i've shot on apple movies, and amazon prime apps. the tv gets it wrong. period. the sound passthrough also pops consistently. i don't recommend this set. it sucks.

Great TV on Paper but Poor Product Quality
on July 5, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an expensive set and we really wanted to like it and give at a 5 star rating. The TV is bright with a lot of great features however the quality is terrible. Menus and remote intermittently freeze up. TV doesn’t retain settings and multi view doesn’t work. Remote is very sleek looking but doesn’t charge properly in the light. Perhaps we just got a bad unit but my RU8000 performs much better on the software and TV interface and my other two Samsung TVs have a great out of box picture despite being lower end models.

wwdSamsung,
Thank you for your review of the QN90A Neo QLED 4K TV and sharing your experience with slow response time. You may want to optimize the smart TV performance and address your issue with remote response time with the self-diagnostic tool. This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
If the TV's audio and video settings are automatically reset, the Usage Mode may be set to Retail Mode. Change Usage Mode to Home Mode. Go to: Settings > General > System Manager > Usage Mode. Please keep in mind that some settings such as Bluetooth will not be remembered as these devices are used on demand. When the TV turns off, the Bluetooth device will disconnect and the TV won’t reconnect automatically unless you choose to pair the device again.
The Multi View feature allows you to display two things at once on your TV. For example, you can view media from different sources, such as an app, Blu-ray player, or game console, on the main left screen, while also mirroring your phone to the smaller screen. Only 1 HDMI-connected device can be used at a time. For example, on the left screen: You can play Samsung TV Plus, TV apps, HDMI devices, Antenna or Cable, or USB devices. On the right screen: You can screen mirror, use AirPlay, cast from an app, or cast from an IoT camera. Multi View is compatible with the following mobile devices:
- Android Smart Phones and Tablets with Screen Mirroring capabilites (Android 4.2 and higher)
- Airplay 2 compatible devices including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac book.
Note: While running Multi View, app casting from your mobile device is run on Multi View. This function is not available in some apps.
If the remote control does not work properly or its response is very slow, the battery might be low or dead. You can charge the remote control by using the solar cell or the USB port(C-type) on the bottom. You can also check the remaining battery of the Smart Remote by going to Settings > General > Power and Energy Saving > Available Remote Battery.
I hope this helps, should you need further assistance, please contact Samsung TV Support. You can call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST M-F (9AM – 6PM EST Sat). Or text HELP to 62913.

i couldnt be more dissappinted in this tv. the brightness is terrible and the picture is worse. i also have the q90t in a 75” and it is a much better tv than the q90a 75. all the professional reviews that say amazing things about this tv are all probably testing the tv with special content but everyday watching is horrible and when you switch your source from 4k sdr to hdr the brightness drops dramatically and the picture gets even worse. i paid for upgraded hdmi cables and a new 4k apple tv to try and get the best signal to the tv but what a waste of money. the q90t is a much better tv so save yourself a lot of money and get last years model if you can find one.

SteveO,
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung QN90A TV and for sharing details of your image quality. Quantum Matrix Technology is powered by exclusive Mini LED designed technology engineered to give you hyper-focused brightness and dimming in all the right areas. To optimize your picture quality, please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1560.5 which includes picture quality updates. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV: 1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model. 2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.) 3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV. 4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes. 5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.
If you are uncomfortable with the default brightness settings, you can customize the brightness level between 0 – 50 to your preference. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Brightness.
In Expert Settings, you can also configure individual settings to your taste with functions such as Contrast, Sharpness, Color, Tint (G/R), Picture Clarity Settings, Local Dimming, Contrast Enhancer, and many more.
You can also try different Picture Modes to see which best fits your needs. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode for the below choices: 1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments. 2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience. 3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. 4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. 5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
Intelligent Mode also enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Adaptive Picture, which is among the options, optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting condition and the content you're viewing.
I hope you can use these adjustment recommendations to set the image to your liking. If you would like further assistance with settings, features, or functions, please reach out to Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST M-F (9AM – 6PM EST Sat). Disappointment with TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Remote control is too complicated. Very few buttons ...no number buttons...only a few buttons but they have to be used as multi-functional. No RCA plugs (audio out) to hook to stereo.
