Best tv you could purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this TV for gaming, sports, news, and my kids love the picture for cartoons. When I first saw the pic I was amazed at how brilliant the colors on it were. Hopefully we will be purchasing a 75 or bigger .

This product works great image is crisp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The streaming service for this TV works great I have Xbox and the quality of the games images is amazing I can tell the difference between Q80 and. Regular 4k 1080. I also use the streaming app for my cellphone and does not have lag or anything. The only down side is that sometimes it will turn on when you don't fully close apps on the TV.

Thank you for purchasing the 2021 QN85A TV and for your review. I am sorry to hear that your TV is turning on by itself.
Sometimes connected Smart devices send abnormal "power on" signals through the wireless network that triggers the TV to turn itself on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.
If your TV is turning itself on when your Xbox is connected via HDMI, this could also cause the auto-on, as Anynet+ is enabled.
Occasionally connected devices such as your game console or cable set top box sending turn on signal, for example, if they have software updates. We recommend you try turning Anynet+ off as it may be causing auto power on. Go to Settings > General > External Device Manager > Anynet+, then disable.
If the TV continues to turn on by itself, please contact our Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.

Awesome screen picture

I have synced my Samsung surround sound bar with bass box and accessories surround speakers. The sound is absolutely amazing. Makes my entertainment experience that much better. So happy and satisfied with my Samsung TV and Sound Bar.

Great picture, other aspects not so much

starting with the good: the picture is really, really good. responsiveness to remote input is fast. apps load quickly and there is a good selection.
then the bad: judder. shows like mash and andy griffith have judder that cannot be eliminated. i have tried virtually everything, and i cannot get smooth video on these shows and others. it's not the satellite system - this tv replaced an older 46" samsung tv that had no judder issues with this content. neither does an lg or a 32" samsung. even if i go to maximum judder compensation there is still judder - and soap opera effect, which drives me nuts.
there is audio lag as well, when dolby encoding is enabled in the dish receiver.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quantum Matrix Technology is powered by exclusive Mini LED designed technology engineered to give you hyper-focused brightness and dimming in all the right areas. To optimize your picture quality, please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1708.0 which includes picture quality updates, as well as updates to correct any audio delays you are experiencing. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV: 1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model. 2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.) 3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV. 4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes. 5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.
After performing any necessary updates, you may want to adjust the picture clarity for optimal motion performance by going to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings
- Off: Picture Clarity Settings will always be off - Auto: Picture Clarity Settings will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched - Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used. By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings for Judder Reduction, LED Clear Motion, and Noise Reduction.

Great picture!

The graphics really pop on this TV, and the slim, sleek simple remote is easy to handle, even in the dark. Our family is really enjoying our screen time these days!
