beyond blurry

screen had to be replaced twice the first month of ownership, the picture is incredibly brilliant but action scenes are so blurry they are unwatchable and sound synchronization is non existant have a 5 year old top end samsung 4k that is beautiful but this one is bust have tried every setting available nothing helps
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

- Off: Picture Clarity Settings will always be off
- Auto: Picture Clarity Settings will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched
- Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used. By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings for Judder Reduction, LED Clear Motion, and Noise Reduction.

To ensure that your TV’s picture is optimized, be sure that you are always running the latest firmware update. You can check this by going to Settings > Support > Software Update or you can enable Auto Update for convenience.

Great screen, however...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I watch the news in the morning, when I get home from work, streaming stuff. The screen it's great , the lights or sunlight don't interfere with my viewing experience. However, I hate deeply the fact that I cannot deleted stupid apps, apple , hulu, disney or any junkware that comes with it. My next TV will be one that I can add or delete apps as I please (I wonder if is there a product like that). Just like smartphones samsung doesn't allow to delete unwanted apps. Or app on the menu, not even move them around. Overall, it's a great TV screen the qled really does it for me. I'll start checking other brands to avoid the problem mentioned above.

Picture quality needs manual setting of brightness. It seems that streaming and television viewing require a manual change from Standard to Movie, etc.
Not able to remove apps we do not use nor want.
Quick start brochure showed a part that was not used or needed. Frustrating.
Always comes up with the option bar at the bottom. Would prefer full screen Tv mode. If you turn off the tv with mute on, when re-started, mute is gone. Not fully tested, but it seems that you cannot keep the advanced picture settings and then change to movie, etc., without loosing the custom settings. Help people don't.

Thank you for choosing Samsung’s QN90A Neo QLED 4K TV and for sharing your experience. If the picture you are seeing out-of-the-box are not to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting. Please know the Picture Mode will not automatically change, as this setting is manually changed for your preference.

You can select the Picture Mode that provides the best viewing experience. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

Intelligent Mode enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Adaptive Picture, which is among the options, optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting condition and your content.
You can also go to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine tune your image.

Your TV allows you to remove apps you no longer need. From the Home screen, go to Apps > Settings > delete your apps from here.

You can download the QN90A TV's User Manual, e-Manual, Remote Control Leaflet, and Quick Setup Guide on Samsung's website by clicking "Support" > "Manuals & Software" > "TVs & Home Theater" > "TVs". From there, you can select the QN90A TV under "Samsung Neo QLED 4K > “A Model Lineup". From there, you can choose your model and download the guides you would like. The e-Manual is also embedded into the TV itself under Settings > Support > Open e-Manual.

Please know that you can disable the App Launcher menu when you turn it on by going to Settings > General > Smart Features

1) When you set Autorun Smart Hub to on, the TV displays the Home Screen automatically when you turn the TV on.
2) If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app is automatically run when you turn on the TV. Please know that the Last App Used function may not work with all apps.

If your TV’s Usage Mode is set to Retail Mode, the TV's audio and video settings are automatically reset every 5 minutes. Change Usage Mode to Home Mode. Go to: Settings > General > System Manager > Usage Mode.

Good but, not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV is good. For the price, and from reviews I read before purchase, I was expecting a better picture. Reflection and fast moving images are a couple of problem areas. I like the three speakers but, the supposed audio adjustment for noise in the room feature is nonexistent. Aside from the three speakers and the new remote, I honestly can't tell the difference between this model and my smaller (much cheaper) Samsung TV in my bedroom. Not sure the Neo QLED is worth the cost.

Please know that your TV is engineered with Anti-Reflection Technology designed to minimize ambient light reflections. We understand that light conditions of each room environment are different. For optimal glare control, we recommend repositioning the TV to minimize incident light falling on the screen or consulting a professional installer.

The QN90A features SpaceFit Sound to optimize sound tailored to your environment and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) which further detects disturbances and enhances the on-screen voices for clear dialogue.

Go to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Turn the options on or off to meet your needs:
- Active Voice Amplifier is available only when the sound sensor of the TV is active and the sound output is set to TV Speaker, or a Samsung Soundbar interlinked with Adaptive Picture is connected.
- Adaptive Sound+ provides optimized sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content
- Adaptive Volume Automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV.

Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode

You can also customize sound with Expert Settings.
Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings

Another feature of your TV is OTS (Object Tracking Sound) which means that there are strategically placed dynamic speakers that track the action and move the sound around you. The great giant

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV is great and big. You really feel like you are at the movies with very accurate colors. The features include voice assistant and all streaming apps - all seamlessly integrated into the user interface. Samsung's own TV service is a plus.

Will not Work with Home Theater using HDMI-eARC

if you plan to use this tv with an avr/home theater speakers and want to have the tv output sound in the optimal way through hdmi-earc, do not buy this tv. it cannot be set up to output sound this way, and you will have to use a less-ideal optical connection. i spent hours trying to figure this out myself, and i just spent 2 hours on the phone with two samsung tech support reps (one was a supervisor). they could not fix the issue and advised me to return the tv. there appears to be a software problem where the tv is designed to recognize sound output as either tv speaker or optical, but not hdmi-earc, even though the tv has an hdmi-earc detection mode. also, the universal remote cannot control power and volume on the new denon avr.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the world of network broadcasting, there is only one brand which I'm not allowed to mention in this review on the site. Supposed to say that I've only had monitors and television sets by that Japanese brand, since it's what we used at HBO and NBC.
On a whim I decided to buy a Samsung Smart TV a bit more than a year ago. My regular professional brand didn't have anything on the market that met my needs, which turned out good for Samsung: the color quality, temperatures, resolution, motion and everything are just extraordinary on the Samsung.
I appreciate the additional capabilities of having a television that connects to my Galaxy phones, but really it's just a heck of a display.
