Had to return it twice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like samsung and this would be the second TV I buy made by Samsung in my life so far. I like the features of it being smart and that the apps are easy to get to and organize them how I want. But for some reason it would glitch and show a line on the right side of the screen, it would be a quick second glitch. I returned it to the retailer twice but all three TVs did the same, same series.

Buggy audio ruins great tv

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We picked the QLED tv because we have a bright living room so the bright picture was important. We weren’t disappointed by the picture, it was great. Very bright and easy to see even in the middle of the day.
Unfortunately the audio kept drifting out of sync. Using any app the audio would de-sync after a while. Switching apps on a firestick would cause it to happen. Even the built in apps didn’t work when I first got the tv, YouTube and Hulu being especially bad.
I’ve been applying firmware updates as soon as they come out and it’s getting better, but Hulu still doesn’t work right.
It’s very disappointing to pay so much for a tv that still doesn’t work properly.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung QN90A TV and for sharing your experience with sound delays. Please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1805.4 which includes updates to address lip sync or audio delays that you are experiencing. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV:
1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model.
2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.)
3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV.
4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.

If your firmware is up to date and you are still experiencing delays and you have a Home Theatre System or other speakers connected to your TV, you can access the Audio Delay settings to increase the audio delay. Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Delay

Great picture, changing sources annoying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the picture on this TV and the sound is great. Only annoying thing is no dedicated source button, so to go between your HDMI ports you have to click all the way to the left of the menu to change the source.

TV nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TV USED 100% streaming video. Quality very good. Picture very good. I would like to have seen a slightly faster processor like in next models. As I feel a bit slow. My only major critique. Not crazy about audio. Surround and effects good. BUT very pool center channel audio. There are times cannot discern spoken dialogue from background audio tracks. I guess they want you to buy their sound bars.

To optimize the Smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care

This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.

Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

The QN85A features SpaceFit Sound to optimize sound tailored to your environment and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) which further detects disturbances and enhances the on-screen voices for clear dialogue.

Go to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Turn the options on or off to meet your needs:
- Active Voice Amplifier is available only when the sound sensor of the TV is active and the sound output is set to TV Speaker, or a Samsung Soundbar interlinked with Adaptive Picture is connected.
- Adaptive Sound+ provides optimized sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content
- Adaptive Volume Automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV.

Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode

You can also customize sound with Expert Settings.

HDMI Ports Defective-check all your hdmi ports

i bought the 85” qn85a in october 2021 for watching movies (blu-ray) with surround sound, and gaming, however, only one hdmi port could be used (#4). since the tv was defective, i did an exchange at the retailer and decided to go up a model to the qn90a (85”). i have the same issue. you can only plug an hdmi cable into one port. i tried plugging firesticks and different hdmi cables into the other three ports with no success. the port is either too small, shaped differently, or have some other manufacturing issue. i find it hard to believe that i ended up with the only two tvs with this issue. i believe there’s a manufacturing issue that no one is aware of because most people use streaming services.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great QLED TV for next gen consoles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I paired this with my Xbox Series X which I bought on release day and this definitely is a great TV paired with it. Its game mode combined with Dolby Atmos passthrough for my Samsung Harmon Kardon Soundbar you can't ask for anything else.

Close to perfect viewing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my new Neo Qled mostly for viewing movies and world and local television news. I am impressed with the overal view. The colors, details and sound are all what I was expecting from this set. I found it easy to setup all the functions, from connecting to service to color matching and sound controls. This is really a smart TV. I'm very fond of the quick response to picture adjustment. The only issue I have of concern, is the way the picture does not focus clearly on moving objects. It has a delay on back ground focusing. Objects that are front and foward on the screen are sharp and clear. When movement occurs in the background, it sometimes appears digitally slow in movement. I don't notice this all the time, but when I do, it consume me. It becomes very noticable through my viewing. Back ground still shots are not as clear as front screen shots. I'm not yet convinced its the set, but maybe the service provider. I have yet to view a hard copy of a video to compare using service for steaming or over hard line viewing. My overall experience is that this is still a good set, worth the cost. It really did meet my expectations.

Youtube TV app crashes frequently
