Best TV I’ve ever owned!

I’ve had this tv for a little over a year and love it in every aspect. The picture quality is amazing in the light or dark. It’s very easy to set up and tweak the settings. I also have the Samsung 700 sound bar and sub woofer using the Q Symphony sounds amazing and the object tracking sound is awesome. I definitely recommend this TV.

the tv will not connect to the internet. not via wifi; not via direct ethernet. it slows my gigabit connection to 4mbs and gives me the swirl. so, none of it's "smart" offerings work. Plugged in an Apple TV to use it. Now the picture looks decent. Paid 3500 for a monitor. Will never buy another Samsung.

It's like being at the movies

Bought this just over a week ago and so far WOW! The set up was really easy, utilizing the Samsung app. For the first few days, I had not selected the available viewing modes, such as "Dynamics, standard, movies etc. Which made the screen so bright, it was like looking into the sun. But after settling on "standard or movie" view setting, OMG it's beyond amazing. Last night I watched Avatar1 on blu-ray, which was upscaled to 4K. Even though I've seen this movies several times, I was blown away by the picture & sounds. No longer am I watching a movie on the TV, I'm now "At the movies". I love it.

Forced adverts on the UI

The UI presents adverts. It’s in Samsung’s T&Cs and cannot be disabled. It spoils an otherwise OK TV.

Amazing picture quality.

I bought this 85" TV almost a year ago when it was half off. Couldn't let the deal slip away. Set up was easy since I already had samsung accounts. Picture is amazing. The colors amazing. Heck even the black levels are amazing. Turning on intelligent mode on the TV has literally rendered using a sound system useless as the sound out of this TV is amazing on intelligent mode. Minus the bass that only a sound system can make. Almost a year later update. TV is still working amazing. My only cons are when watching a movie there is a lot of juddering on fast moving objects even when lowering those levels. The anti-glare gives off a rainbow affect that can be distracting on black areas of the TV when sunlight is coming in. Doesn't affect the performance or picture but I have noticed there might be a dead pixel in the middle of the screen you can only see on a white bright screen. And screen seems to be bubbling or delaminating on different areas, but those are only visible when the screen is actually off Otherwise non existent when the screen is on.

The tv broke within a year and a half and Samsung said they don’t have any service techs that can help! It just didn’t cut back on one day, what a waste of money! I also noticed later that the tv isn’t really put together well, like the frame is coming apart! Crazy!
