A GEM OF A RANGE--EXCELLENT FEATURES & FUNCTION

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty much, this is my DREAM stove. It's a slide-in, at counter level so does not block my beautiful tiled back splash. It is attractive as well, in a classically simple design that includes burner knobs that cannot be turned on by pets walking across the stove. The burners are also classic,. They're authentic plug-ins (not a glass smooth top surface), upon which i can safely cook in my cast iron pots. Each burner has a protective device that will save my ceramic teapots from burning up when the whistles stop working. This safety device does not prevent the burners from heating up very quickly and HOLDINg their heat. I can simmer and simmer for hours just fine.
The oven is a thing of beauty, it's super close in size to my previous slightly larger one, but it is a very nice big size that accomodates multiple pans, pots and a very large turkey no problem. The oven preheats fairly quickly and shows the internal temperature progressively as it rises.And,this thermometer is ACCURATE. I bake bread and prepare all my own baked goods like desserts, in addition to meal prep from scratch. The oven gets a daily workout and its accuracy is a great help to good food outcomes!
Cleaning this stove is a breeze. In my opinion Whirlpool self-cleaning ovens are fabulous. Minimum wipe down is necessary, but it is not a "scrub down" : the baked on stuff just melts away or into a wee film that acloth picks up when you wipe the interior. Also for for cleaning the range top i was wary that you cannot raise the top. But one does not need to. You just unplug the burner assembly, pull out it and the burner pan and clean EVERYTHING that you need. Best of all the interior is stainless or something readily cleaned and it keeps its polish well (as do the burners) when cleaned.
I use virtually no processed food, and i have never owned a microwave. This range is used repeatedly, daily, off and on. And it does it all beautifully, for me.

Whirlpool electric range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this range to replace one that was not as tall as my cabinets. Only 4 stars because I didn't like the coils with the middle button and the pans so I replaced them. I am also going to replace the knobs with smaller ones. The range bakes and cooks great!
