[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Some confusion about the range being a freestanding or slide-in. The Range was bought to be a slide-in. It fit perfectly except for the depth, which protruded 5 11/16 inches from the front of the kitchen counter. Additionally, the knobs on the front control panel create a problem when a person is working next to the range. and clothing gets caught on the side knobs, which are next to counter workspace. Knobs add 1 1/4 inches to top of control panel. Shorter knobs would be better. Range did not come with a broiler pan, a feature we have never experienced with other ranges we have purchased.

Knobs too big

I tested this in the store and the only thing that’s keeping me from buying this stove is that the knobs are too big and interferes with the movement of pans. I found that I was constantly knocking my hands against them and would be afraid that my sleeves would catch on them. This is really too bad as it’s the only stove that came close to meeting my needs for a front controlled coil electric range. I hope Whirlpool is reading this and will consider a redesign of the knobs. There are still plenty of us that need these coil top ranges.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve waited 2 yrs to purchase a new range that has features like this one! Digital as well as manual. Coil top with easy cleaning front controls. Coil top has safety features that are amazing! Black and stainless is vey attractive as I remodel my kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using my stove for about 6 weeks and basically satisfied. The coils are constantly having to be pushed back in place which is very annoying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace a new LG smooth top range that did not function as needed. I am an old-fashioned cook, and need burners that allow browning, sautéing, and simmering in my All Clad cookwear. This whirlpool cooktop range does the job. But… That being said… Wish that the painted top and top front were stainless steel. Wish that the metal ‘buttons’ at the center of each burner did not discolor. Both features would have improved the look of this appliance.

Slide in , free standing range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy to have coils, but disappointed to not be able to lift the lid/stove top to clean out when something boils over unexpectedly. Coil pans do not clean up easily and can not get a manual beyond the one that tells minimally about the stove, but not what certain parts are, like the buttony thing in the middle of the coil and how to clean that. Drawer is significantly smaller( not as long as my last slide in, which I missed in the info). The fact that the range advertises as a slide in and then in some places a freestanding made installment an extra expense, as delivery could not install, as well as measurements not as advertised. I took the old stove I was replacing manual into the store to make sure it would be easy. Found a form online, to help pay for this fix, but it does not look as good as one that sits on top, and if I knew it wasn't, from phone discussions, I could have paid 1/3 the price with all headaches eliminated and just bought a regular free standing. Have had it about a month and works so far. Also getting different answers from Whirlpool as to what the surface exactly is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this purchase to replace outdated stove that no longer get parts for. Hate with a passion the new coil burners over temp sensors in the middle. Have some pots not heavy enough. Will need to buy sensor less coils. This stove is deeper and will have to now modify the counter top. This is slide in and has no edge covers.
