Huge Disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first child recently turned one and we were eager for an upgraded monitor from our existing Eufy Securiry closed system. We figured with a trusted brand like Motorola behind this product, we'd get exactly that, but unfortunately this product is lacking in quality to the point of being classified as junk. The parent monitor is lightweight, thin and portable, but I would place a big asterisk on "portable" as the battery life on this thing is stated as only five hours. Real life experience clocked us in at about 4 hours. Our existing eufy system lasts unplugged for two nights. The buttons on the device are clunky and have a terribly slow response time. One annoying quirk is that every time you power on the unit, you receive a weird ad for the app. You can press the menu button to supposedly disable, but it pops up every time. The functionality is there-sleep timers work as expected, volume and thermometer are fine, but that's a pretty low bar that you would hope a unit at any price point would clear. Now on to the camera-easily the absolute worst feature of the device. The picture quality-particularly in night mode, is absolute atrocious. I've seen better resolution on tube TVs from the 90s, and that's not an exaggeration. The colors don't pop at all, and at night the image appears fuzzy and pixelated as if not maintaining a signal. Our bedroom is on the other side of the wall from our son's and the quality is bad there and everywhere else in the house. The only thing the camera has going for it is its near-360 motion. I can actually move it around while my son crawls around his room, even if the image captured resembles a 16-bit video game. Back to the parent unit-it took us dozens of tries and nearly breaking the device to deploy the antenna. We were hoping the quality would improve but it didn't. The app connects fine but is essentially useless with such an awful interface and picture quality. Avoid at all costs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product for free in exchange for writing a honest review** this monitor is super nice. I like the screen and size a lot. I do think when you move the camera it lags a little more than some other brands I've tried but it is still nice. Good sound quality. There are some lights on the camera that I was worried would distract my baby at night bc they are pretty prominent and bright but he didn't seem phased by it luckily.

Great for traveling, short lasting battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm torn about this camera it has some great features and some not so great features. Pros: the camera itself is rechargeable, making it perfect for traveling when you might not always have a plug available. The camera is very easy to set up and connects seamlessly to the screen. I saw some reviews saying that the camera would disconnect often, but I did not have that experience. The camera also has a wide lens which allows you to set it up essentially anywhere in the room while still allowing you to see most of it. The base of the camera is also sturdy enough to stand on its own. It does have the option to screw it into w tripod type stand. The quality of the device itself is great. The camera and the screen feel sturdy. Cons: The video quality is not great. The image is very grainy. Both the battery of the camera and the screen last approximately 2 hours which is not ideal if you are somewhere over night that does not have a plug near by. I would recommend it as a second monitor set to have in the diaper bag for travel but would not recommend it as the main monitor.
