Great, but not a touch screen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Motorola baby monitors for almost 5 years now. This particular model, the VM36XL, is a welcome improvement over the last set I purchased. For starters, the screen is much larger and clearer. I'm not sure I would call it "HD" quality, but it's good. Nothing about this monitor is touch screen either, so the name is a little misleading. Maybe that's a further upgrade. The camera spins and rotates up and down and side to side with much more speed and ease to be able to see baby. There is a stand on the back to set it up and watch if you don't feel like holding it. There are optional timers for 2, 4, or 6 hours of use before automatically shutting off. The camera picks up the temperature of the room which is very helpful to monitor for baby's safety and comfort. There is a 2 way microphone so that you can talk back to baby as well as listen. This is good for assuring baby "I will be right there! Mama's coming!" There are really nice sounds and lullabies programmed to play including rainforest sounds, waves, a sound that literally sounds like being in an amniotic sac (from experience listening to ultrasound and heartbeat monitors), a pretty chiming song as well as a lullaby that sounds like it would play on a wound up mobile. We love any white noise in my house to drown out big siblings playing or dogs barking. The best part of this monitor is that the camera is rechargeable for power up to 3 hours. This means that you can very easily move baby somewhere and continue to monitor without having to plug it in. The only cons I can find with this monitor are that I cannot seem to connect it to the Motorola Nursery App on my iPhone. The camera does not pick up on the generated QR code per the instructions. While this is not a necessary feature, it is helpful to see baby if the monitor battery dies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I already had a monitor and two cameras but recently upgraded to something a little more high tech and let me tell you I wish I would've gotten this the first time around! The monitor is big with a really great clear screen and excellent battery life versus my other one that pretty much always had to be plugged in. The camera is by far my favorite part though because it's completely wireless! My old ones needed to be plugged in to run and wow what a game changer it is not needing to try to hide those long ugly cords. Get this camera! It works for babies and toddlers which is huge because it rotates a full circle and helps me keep an eye on my three year old without the worry of being unplugged or knocked over when I'm trying to have a quick bathroom break lol.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really great camera monitor. The screen on the parent handheld is very large. The image quality is perfect. Has many options from showing the temperature in the room, can talk through the monitor, wireless monitor, music options and a sleep mode. You can also connect multiple cameras to this. My one complaint which is a big deal at least for me is there's no way to immediately hang the camera on a wall. You have to purchase a stand separately from the camera monitor unit. The bottom only has an inverted screw like feature that is for hanging. So you cant just use a nail or screw. Overall this camera is a great option, just make sure before purchasing to purchase a wall mount for it if you want it on the wall.

First this monitor is touchscreen and has a camera with remote, the camera can tilt & zoom and has night vision. You can talk from both ends of the device, and to help your baby relax this monitor comes pre-loaded with nature sounds, lullabies and audiobooks. This monitor is absolutely amazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera comes with a variety of features. I like the screen lets you play music, adjust the camera, zoom in or out, and a timer to turn off. Few disadvantages were how close it captures the frame inside room. I had to place the camera far away in a high place to get a good frame. The image itself is somehow blurry and it did not work with the Motorola app. Everything else is within the fair price for a camera from Motorola which offers a good warranty and other accessories.
