If I would have followed the instructions correctly I would have saved me a ton of stress. With out the help I would had a terrible time getting my taxes done correctly.

Difficult with new PC

I have used Turbo Tax for years and had absolutely no problems. The only challenge this year was part the product and part the IRS. My computer crashed and corrupted my external hard drive last year. I have a new one but was not able to retrieve my previous year file from the extg5ernal hard drive so it could not pull over any data. No major problem there. The big problem was when I was trying to e-file. It wanted me to enter my AGI from last year. I did not have that available due to the situation. IRS was unable to help because their program to self authenticate was not working and I would have to wait 3-5 business days. I understand looking out for everyone's privacy, but there has to be some alternatives if the previous year form is not available

Turbo Tax is a good, but...

I just finished filing my son's taxes and overall had a good experience, but when the federal review took place, the software took me to a Child Credit form 8xxx and highlighted some lines that needed to be reviewed. My son is single and has no dependents. I cannot figure out why a Child Credit form would be applicable. I was not able to just ignore it, I had to enter a "0" value in one of the lines before it would go away. This marred my otherwise good experience using the software.

The best software package ever!

Having done complex taxes by hand using government forms for years, now I thoroughly enjoy doing taxes (except for paying them) because Turbo Tax truly makes it easy and I don't worry about making errors. Thanks TurboTax!

Turbotax is pretty good except for so details

I'm using the new 2021 that required me to purchase a new computer. After putting all my 2021 data into the program I tried to print the 2021 returns. It printed the 2020 return instead of 2021.

Always good. Got a 1042-S found a way to report it as 1099=R.
