Meets most needs

Comprehensive set of questions.
Doesn't always pull information from former year returns.
Doesn't offer no cost e-file for state return; their price is much more expensive than printing the return and using a stamp. Their offer is not cost effective.

I've been using TurboTax for what seems like forever. Never saw a need to investigate other filing programs because I have always been happy with TurboTax. The only part of the program that I would like to see changed is Form 1116 Foreign Tax credit. It has always been a pain to enter multiple countries. That is one area that Turbo Tax has seemingly ignored even though there have been numerous comments about this problem.
TurboTax would get a 5-star review if they fixed that problem. If you do not have foreign tax credits from multiple countries to deal with, Turbo Tax is highly recommended.

Easy to use/ tired of hearing "it's free"

TurboTax is easy to use, there is no doubt about it. It is helpful and they do look out for you in that they apply every eligible credit and deduction. However, I am beyond exhausted hearing about how it's free (which takes reading the fine print) and then finding out it costs extra to download the state return AND to e-file the state return. There should NOT be two separate charges for both, I personally do not think that's fair.
