TurboTax needs some improvements See below.

Please bring back the ability to open a category and type information and amount and then it transfers to the correct box. ie, donations, taxes, medical. etc.
Also needs to bring forth all pertinent info from the previous year rather than having to open an old file and retype info into a new file.

Turbo Tax is good, could be better

I have been using it for years, and my faith in the product is shrinking. Very Rigid on RITA RITA OH Taxes, constant error messaging - kept insisting. Also, it forced me had to complete 8812 for child care credit, which I have never qualified for. I would like an option to use TT for RITA Oh but this product should either be eliminated or reprogrammed. I end up writing it out myself, and mailing.

Best way to do Taxes!

I used Turbotax for the first time this year. We've done our taxes on Turbotax in the past but with getting a new computer I didn't transfer the files. So I started from scratch since my wife used to do the taxes, RIP. The software is very easy to use and guides you through the steps. I'm very please and will continue to use Turbotax. I strongly recommend it to anyone single home owner.

Better than H&R Block Tax Software

Overall, Turbo Tax does a better job at explaining "tax lingo", explaining why they're asking for something, giving you more choices, being more deliberate with the choices you make. In an exact comparison, it saves you more money. It also explains the breakdown for what the numbers are doing and why. The only part that didn't make sense was when you're importing your W2s, and the software doesn't mask your SSN# but masks the salary amount of box 1 of the W2 (which makes entering the figure and hoping you typed it correctly an extreme challenge); along with no guidance as to entering a decimal with cents or a rounded dollar amount (leaving the user to guess and hope they got it right). Other than that, most everything made sense and was easy enough to navigate forwards and backwards. I will be using Turbo Tax from now on!
