Turbo Tax comes through again!

Turbo Tax is the solid tax preparation software it is note for. The step-by-step instructions has made it easier to prepare my taxes with the inclusion of how to handle K-1 trust information, etc. Saved me time and the expense of an accountant.

THIS YEAR'S TURBO TAX SEEMED MORE CUMBERSOME THAN PREVIOUS YEARS. THIS YEAR I PREPARED A STATE INCOME TAX AND FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON I WAS CHARGED $25 FEE (TOTALLY UNEXPECTED). I PURCHASED THE SOFTWARE THAT ALLOWED FOR THE PREPARATION OF A STATE INCOME, I DO NOT SEE THE BENEFIT OF PAYING FOR A STATE INCOME TAX WHEN I WAS CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $25. I AM NOT SURE HOW OFTEN UPDATES ARE PROVIDED, BUT IT APPEARED EACH TIME I LAUNCHED TURBO TAX THERE WERE ALWAYS UPDATES.

Too much data entry

Seems like more information could be transferred within the Turbo Tax system; had to enter address and other information repeatedly; had to input information on state (VA) forms for no reason. I don't understand what the final charge of $25 was for re the efile of my federal return. Seems like there was a charge for filing my VA return, which I thought would have been free. Ancillary charges to the benefit of TurboTax. Buying the product, in my opinion, there should not be additional charges associated with filing and making payments or receiving refunds!
